OK, since this is turning into a debate about which fighting game franchise is better, I'll put in my two cents. Keep in mind I have no experience in DOA, MK(the first game's main song is awesome), and I won't get SF4 until Saturday, because my birthday's on Sunday and because of church I'm having it a day early.
Soul Calibur 2 on the GameCube was, to me, awesome. I loved the various modes, being able to play as Link, the graphics. Then I replayed it three months ago on the arcade, and I was shocked at how bad it became for the increasingly VF fan in me. Button mashing goes far.
Then there's Tekken. Tekken has a special place in my gaming, since my first fighting game was Tekken 3. After playing T5, I was amazed, because it felt so fluid and fun, and I loved it.
And last is Virtua Fighter 5 for the 360. Let's just say this: This is the perfect game for beating up button mashers, because that game requires so much skill to play well, it's the deepest fighter ever, even deeper than Capcom games. You have so many moves to work with, and the character balance is a masterpiece in itself.
So out of those three, VF is my favorite right now.
