Which one did you like better.
I haven't played SOTC so I can't really vote yet, but even I have to admit it looks really breath taking.
But from what I've heard, the game is kinda short.

I have played both and both are crazy good games but
TP just had so much more to it had to go with Zelda
The whole idea of SOTC is that you can skip all the senseless grunt fighting, so it's supposed to be short. Zelda, on the other hand, is about getting to the boss (AKA the dungeon). Two very different ideas, two great games.Rollingstones7yeah..it is kind of a rough comparison......Maybe I'm just comparing them because of both of them having huge overworlds........and horses.
But i can tell you, from what I've seen on youtube, the SOTC bosses blow TP's bosses out of the water. Even the good ones like Stallord and Argorock cant' hold a candle
Sorry Zelda fans...SotC blows TP away by a long shot. :PTeufelhuhn

They are both sweet games but SoTc only took me 11 hours to get through with no reason to play through it again where as TP took me over 40 hours.
Twilight Princess wins.
I'm sorry but SOTC has 16 things to fight and thats it
dont get me wrong I loved the game but it was over way to fast

Sorry, I guess your miserable logic blurred my vision. I needed clarification.
So by your logic, Spiderman 3 is a better movie than... lets say... Seven? Or Reservoir Dogs?
Both were great games and its hard for me to choose one. Both have great storylines that are truly epic, however I was really confused as to what was going on near the begining of SOTC. Zelda has amazing music, memorable themes that any diehard Zelda fan would recognize as well as some great musical composition for each of the dungeons. SOTC didnt take me as long to beat, however the scope of the game is amazing.
My thoughts on the flaws of each game:
SOTC: slight framerate issues, slow navigation and horse movement was really a nuisance compared to the fluidity of riding Epona in Zelda. The camera itself always locked on to your character and whenever you try to adjust it to see around your environment, as soon as you let go of the control stick it shifts back behind your character.
Zelda: Difficulty is amature at best, for a T rated game it should have been much harder with the puzzles and boss fights which were almost no challenge. Felt too much like Ocarina of Time with similar puzzles like the Poe gathering in Arbiters Grounds (Forest temple in OoT). Also the wolf mechanics were a bit odd to adapt and sometimes caused problems when fighting the poes out in the field cause you could sometimes fall off high ledges. Also the character design was a bit weird, Link looked a fair bit like a girl and some of the characters I thought were actually boys might have been girls. Also there wasnt enough horseback combat which I thought should have existed more in the game. Plus there arent a lot of side quests.

agreed. From my gamer perspective, Even if both games are crazy great, I prefer the game with the most meat on it's bones[QUOTE="dracula_16"]Yes.

can't compare movies and games
Sotc and TP are both great games but one is 12 hours long and one is 36 hours long
so My vote goes to TP

I can compare the two.
But you see, the other guy simply says that because TP is longer, it's better. Which is just dumb.
TP may be longer, but at no point in the game is it better than SoTC.

TP may be longer, but at no point in the game is it better than SoTC.
But that's where he disagrees with you. He found the experiences to be comparably good, but TP offered more of it. It's not "dumb", it's just as valid as your opinion that SotC is better at all points in the game and my opinion that TP is better at most points in the game.
It's not "dumb", it's just as valid as your opinion
Iyethar
It really isn't.
I asked him very clearly "Because it's longer, it's better?"
And he said yes. Therefore he thinks that the being longer is the reason why it's a better game. Which is dumb.
They are difficult games to compare, and they are both great. However, while SotC may be short and flawed in some senses, I think it creates a far more uniqe and fulfilling experience than Twilight Princess. The originality points are why I put SotC over Twilight Princess.

Premise: SotC is a "sweet game".
Premise: TP is a "sweet game".
Given that both games are "sweet" in his opinion, and he perceives that one title offers a greater quantity of "sweet game", that title is better, in his opinion.
How would you like it if I said that your opinion was invalid and "dumb" because I didn't agree with it?
shadow of the collosus. its more fun and nothing in any game compares to battling the larger collosus. when u watch them fall and die it looks like a friggin cgi clip. nothing on ps3/360 is as impressive as this game imo. the music is epic and despite the frame rate issues(which didnt bother me much) this game has the best graphics on ps2 imo. definately buy itAsadMahdi59
Fighting that sand dragon thing was one of the most cinematic experiences I've had in games, it's right up there with my matches on the Tacticalgamer server on Bf2.

STALKER is a longer games than MGS3, and they are both really good games. But MGS3 is far better, even if it's shorter.
As I said, I asked him directly if it being longer is the reason why it's better. And he said Yes.
And that logic, is DUMB.

It's not logic at all. It's his opinion, his reason for liking one thing better than another.
This is logic:
His reason for liking one thing better than another is dumb because you say so.
THEREFORE, by substitution:
Your reasons for liking one thing better than another are dumb because I say so.
The reasons you like SotC better than Twilight Princess are stupid reasons.
The reasons you like MGS3 better than STALKER are stupid reasons.
It's just because you don't know any better.

yes nothing but boss fights can't even begin to compete with tp. although i think 1 or 2 temples should have been taken out and replaced with sidequests like the owl statues hunt, i think tp is 95/100.
