I need ICO so i want this to happen. Last year i wouldnt have cared since i could buy it for around £15. But in the space of about 6 months, ICO's jumped to around £50 (used). One of my biggest life regrets.
I would love to see this, along with the GOW+GOW2 repackaging when GOW3 hits. Is it just going to be a HD upscale though, or entirely rerendered?Hahadouken
Rerendered graphics in HD resolution. IMO the ICO games would be 2 of the more perfect choices to be given the HD treatment. They'd look fantastic!

Basically Shadow of the Colossus in 1080p and no lag with no other graphcial improvement would make that one of the best games ever. Serioulsy. Don't bother changing the graphics, they are beautiful. Just fix the preformance and up the res for HD monitors.

I doubt it will slow down TLG. Since the game is already there it just needs a touch up likr better framerate and upscale to 720 and add trophies. Since im pretty sure hes going for what the GOW collection is going for.

I love the idea, but I wish they'd take the time to use the PS3 hardware to its maximum potential when redesigning these games. I don't want straight out flat ports from the PS2 versions turned in HD. I would love to see the use of depth of field, subtle blur filters, AA, higher resolution textures, parallax mapping, things that would take advantage of the more powerful hardware.

Well, Ico is an incredibly difficult game to find (cheap that is) and would be quite fortunate for those who weren't able to play it or buy it. I mean if they merely just rereleased a game with no reasoning behind it (update resolutions, textures, hard-to-find in retail) than I would be perhaps in the same boat as you, but this is a real chance for more people to enjoy the Team Ico games and I know I am for it since I wish to own Ico
Considering how 1) there is no PS3 BC anymore, 2) ICO is becoming incredibly rare and 3) both games had some serious performance issues at times, I'd be all for re-releases. I don't want any ****ing sequels though. Re-releases along with The Last Guardian in 1080p at 60fps would make me extraordinarily happy.

I'll give you ICO (especially PAL), but Shadow of the Colossus is as common as any other game on the PS2. It got a "Greatest Hits" release for a reason. It sold very well. Wherever I go these days, I'm always seeing used and new copies everywhere. Hell, I saw two new and one used copy today on my trip to the local game stores... and I didn't even go into places like Wal-Mart.
Hell... I own two copies of Shadow. One still sealed.

um yeah it takes mroe then just a few weeks to do what your asking it takes months, the GoW collection was in a survey at the begining of the year or so, and they've been likely on work on it since then.
We are talking about a fanbase of a very old game who got tired for waiting for the sequel, so I doubt there will be a lot of support. For me it was an epic and glorious game, I hope the sequel comes out soon.

wtf. are you stupid or something? a new GoW ps2 game costs $20 each. with GoW Collection you get 60fps, 720p, trophy, GoW3 demo, Gow1+2 all for $40. and you call that milking? lmao. even if all ps3's had BC and you bought GoW1+2 it will still cost you $40.

people fail to note that 360 doesn't have perfect backwards compatibility.... only about 4/5 xbox games run on xbox 360. of course nobody notices this because gears, halo 1 and halo 2 are just about the only xbox games you geniuses play and microsoft ensured that they worked....

Their next game is not a sequel to either ICO or Shadow. Shadow was a very indirect prequel to ICO, and The Last Guardian looks like a very indirect prequel to Shadow.
