Happy for all the Elden Ring and FromSoft fans 😊 Have fun!
Shame DLCs can't win GOTY cos 2024 has been a bit lacklustre so far.
Edit: relative to 2023 at least.
@mycatismilk: it's a fairly straight forward statement. I wasn't trying to hide anything.
I had a book typed out but decided I don't care that much. It's not like I'm hating on games like that, I've bought and played most of them (including ER) and they aren't bad, but most of them just aren't 9s or 10s in my book... they get boring pretty fast since they are a little slow paced in all the wrong ways for me personally... but opinions and all that. I know some people have put some SERIOUS time in on them.
The worst gamer you know can grind souls for a few hours and demolish a boss because they are overpowered for the content, but I guess that's part of the charm and I don't mind a grind in an RPG, MMO, or survival game, so I get it. Mad respect to legit playthrough speedrunners though, that's some dedication.
Its crazy how much hype this dlc is getting, and we're not even in the covid days that everyone was home doing nothing. I can't think of any dlc/expansion with this much hype. Maybe the early WoW expansions were like that, but i never followed the game so not sure.
Literally the whole planet is playing the game holy shit.
So are people here enjoying this one?
I was just scrolling through the Elden Ring subreddit, and a lot of people are saying this is the hardest content FromSoftware has ever produced.
Miyazaki is a liar. He said the new map is the size of Limgrave. IT'S BIGGER. WTF?
The only game director that is underselling their product.
This DLC is big enough to make a full game out of🤣No wonder nobody is bitchin' about the price, the value is in your face.
Everything does so much damage to my level90 with +9/+24 weapons that i don't want to max out because of pvp matchmaking. What a game.

I swear this is Elden Ring 2 being sold as DLC.. The sheer amount of content is beyond any of my expectations
780k peak on steam today. You never seen this amount of players coming back to a 2+ years old game for a dlc.
Saw this a few days ago. I am not sure how this trauma dumping is allowed anywhere outside of twatter and reddit. How the **** can one write this bullshit in something that is supposed to be an actual review, a review that might change the metascore. Holy ****. Please re-open these in the US. Its for the greater good.
@sargentd: I suspect some of these far-left reviewers, once they've finished their review that has fuckall to do with the game they get off the computer desk and lay on the floor in a crucifix pose for half an hour.
While Bring Me to Life plays. On a loop.
Is it a thing being a fan of colors in a damn video game? Like, i have never played a game where i even paid attention to them, but here, the combination of colors is so damn cool. If it looks this good with their ancient engine, just imagine what they could achieve on UE5 or Sony's proprietary engines.

Yeah right on
I can't think of a better backdrop song to a kotaku game journo arguing with middle aged nerd that disagree with them on the internet. And then interjecting that into a review of vid game dlc
This is truly epic stuff here, how could this have happened
