Actually, they were RPGs. FASA turned it into an FPS for one of two reasons: 1) They're specialized in the shooter genre, ala Mech Assault, Crimson Skies, etc.. 2) In order to truly take advantage of the IP, they must first win over the typically shooter-loving Xbox 360 user-base. If FASA can pull off a hit, they (or another first-party developer) could release a Shadowrun RPG with a whole new fan-base to buy it.

Um.... why is this not an RPG? This was one of the reasons I was going to get a 360. Now I find out it's not even a sequel to my second favourite RPG of all time... this game doesn't have my attention anymore.
