the game looks very shallow in the gameplay department, the equivalent of screwing around in forge in halo 3, and that got boring quick


all the footage I have seen, the majority of it was just that dumb sackboy making faces and trying to be cute or some dumb little scene which shows no actual point to the gamesupermechakirby

2) I hate it because it's not on the console I own.

LBP has every chance of being not a Big title, but that I highly doubt.

As for being shallow in the G-play department, I highly disagree I don't see making levels and completing them with friends and people across the world "Shallow".

What I do find shallow is you.

We are yet to find the game's deepness until release.

My opinion is LBP is shaping up nicely.. its got great visuals (i like the artistic approach taken by devs), seem to have a solid gameplay and looks like its lot of fun... Definately one of my most anticipated titles this year...

can't wait till LBP gets released..

I'm definitely going to pick up LBP, simply because it is the first adventure/platformer game I've seen in a long time that even comes CLOSE to matching Yoshi's Island.

I only wish Nintendo created a Yoshi's Island game where you could create your own levels.

EDIT: I don't have a 360, so I can't play games like Braid.

Dont forget that LBP comes with 12 hours of levels and a proper single player, thats longer than most games today! Not really shallow if you ask me!

for one, ToV is the BEST RPG this gen, for two there has only been quality on the 360 this year really (becides MGS4, but thats more of a movie)

secondly, I would never really want LBP, that little sack gets on my nerves

I will only say that LBP seems like it could be good but when measured against Banjo N&B using pics, footage & hands on reports; Banjo stands heads & shoulders above and IMO is offering the real innovation in platforming games and much more bang for the buck. :D

maye i didnt explain myself well.... one can be hyped for a new IP based on what is shown.... if the gameplay vids are interesting, it has lush visuals, positive comments are received in previews, the media praises the game cause they actually tried it etc etc, that is reason enough for a gamer to be hyped...

I understand you say, being hyped for a sequel to a great series makes sense, but you can be equally hyped about a new IP...

Actually one should be more hyped about new IP's specially when they are trying to give something fresh/innovative experience, which gamers might enjoy..
