[QUOTE="cowgriller"][QUOTE="Cait__Sith"] They actually made a demo of this game in 2003, you fail so hard right now its not even funny. And this is nothing like Dark Void, This game is zero-g!Cait__Sith
correction: you sir, just failed.
first, the game is entirely directx 10. dx10 was not launched until 2007. there goes your bs that this was made in 2003.
second, a benchmark test for computer hardware is NOT a game demo. the biggest reason why is because it's not interactive.
third, the game was first debuted in GC 2008, there goes your 2003 theory again. once again, because the game is dx10 entirely, that means development must have started in 2007.
...DX10 is not the point, this dev team had the idea LONG AGO, and they showed it in a techdemo during 2003, they finally made the game now using DX10. Seriously are you that thickheaded.first off, don't insult me. second, dx10 is not the main point but it is a huge point . incase you didn't read the topic title, let me type it out for you: "SHATTERED HORIZON [56K] Directx 10 Only!"
the selling point of this game is dx10. it doesn't even have a story. there's no single player campaign. it's just a 32 person online shooter in space.
what futuremark did was make benchmark test for pc's to run and score high on arbitrary numbers. yes they had a benchmark test were people were in space. big deal they didn't actually start making it a game until recently and it's clear that although they used an early benchmark test as a staring point, they clearly used dark void as inspiration for an actual game.
