yes, but because nintendo has a much better reputation and also been in the industry longer than MS, with the $250 price tag, and appeals to any audience, they have the other hand. it's like comparing an FPS to an RPG.

I don't really want to start a flame war, but this whole NPD thing is stupid. I could care less about how much Wii, PS3, or Xbox360 sell. I could be the only one on the world with a 360, and I'd still be enjoying the games as much. Can you we stop using sales figures as ownage? We know Japanese people are crazy over Wii/DS, we also know they hate Xbox360, so stop using that argument also. Thnx :)afdevil24

Well, quite honestly, it is kind of refershing for a Nintendo Home Console to be selling so well and why shouldn't we, we have been pwned by the same thing for so long, all we know is sells = good product and people like the product which we so aggressivly endorse.  Its not like the lemmings or cows are any more mauture about anything.Lefund

Too bad there has never been this big of a gap between the first place console and the other consoles in terms of graphics.  Wii will not be the main platform for ANY big 3rd party games.  Do you foresee Wii games being ported to the PS3/360.  Highly unlikely.  The truth of the matter is that Wii is not competing against just the PS3 or 360 individually, but BOTH of them at the same time.  There will be 3rd party games for the Wii, and 3rd party games for the PS3/360.

Reviews are bias Gamespot/IGN/ whomever they are all different. Sales are sales. Developers only care about sales not reviews.

As people stated if the Wii flopped in sales it would get no third party support kind of like the GC hahaha but if the Wii sells like the ps2 well then expect a lot better support. It only makes perfect sense. Capcom/Namco/EA will come out with there best games on the system that has huge sales. Huge Console Sales = More Buyers = More Games Bought. Its quite simple.

 If nintendo's system is consistant in delivering better profit, then yes, I could see games being made on the wii first then get "cleaned up" graphically for the other systems. Companys care about profit, and very little else, they follow profit, graphics are irrelivent.

It has to do with it because for devs to take these big franchises over to Wii it's gonna need to have a lot more sales than the combined efforts of the PS3/360. 3rd party titles are moving away from exclusivity in the first place, and devs will see the PS3/360 as essentially one console to sell on and the Wii as the other....for the reasons being they are so vastly differen in terms of hardware.  And also different in the people who buy them.

Sales don't matter because *insert console of choice* is doing terrible.

Really sales do matter, and they are something empirical to talk about.

They aren't concrete but more concrete then "fun" or "scores"
