Most wii games that get bad scores is b/c of the controller. If you look at the PS2 score, you can see that this is a good game, as in story, gameplay is probably good. But since it's bad for wii, it's probably the controller. That's why people are claiming ownage. This may not have been a hyped game, but from PS2's score, it had the potential to be one, but isn't because of the controller. manningbowl135

You can use the classic controller and GCN controller, the game doesn't force you to use motion controls.

You don't have to use the Wiimote, it said that there is support for the classic controller for the game in the review.

I'm going to go be a idiot and play a 2D fighting game with a analog and complain how bad it is. Seriously only the dpad and arcade stick are good for fighting games. Just like analog is good for something and motion control as well. Point is, only a idiot would consider playing GGXX with the Wiimote. If you are into fighters then I would expect you to have the clasic controller or at least the GCN one.

Personally I'm not a big fan of GGXX. With that said, its comical how you are blindly trying to judge my perspective. When you obviously don't see it. GGXX is a 2D fighting game that has been milked for the last 6 years. The only thing that could improve graphically for that series is to add frames of animation. Which they may or may not have done. Nonetheless the game would look the exact same on the PS3 and 360. However the game still looks pretty good, especially seeing that there aren't a lot of other 2D fighters on the market to prove that other wise. So I'm going to ask you, show me a 2D fighter that isn't last gen? Did you know that SNK has been using the same sprites for most of their characters since the 90s? Talk about last gen.

Anyhow, my point remains that its essentially the exact game with the option to use multiple control schemes. Which the reviewer gave a overall score based upon one of them.

Ok. My point is a next gen game that is "essentially the exact game" as a last gen game doesn't deserve the same score. If there is no way they can make it better for a next gen console, then it shouldn't be made. Either way, wii game = ps2 game = worse score. Period.

As for the rest of the discussion. I honestly don't care if this game that hardly anybody knows or cares about is worse with (completely optional) motion control. The Wii-mote is not ideal for fighting games, which is exactly one of the reasons we have Clasic and GC compatibility. It's also worth noting that that the Wii + Nunchuck combo practically makes Dual Analog for FPS's obsolete. Options are good.
