i remember quite a few people saying that sales dont matter :? oh well i'll let that slide. you think halo3 will beat brawl by a landslide? i doubt it. halo will definately sell dont get me worng but you dont know if it will beat brawl. both franchaise recieved better sales with the sequel now i dont know too much about Halo 3 but if brawl is online then expect it to a huge amount.

also i just want to point out that sales doesnt mean a great game all it means is good fan service.

What's your point exactly? Re-read my original post. I bash Halo in that post, not MP3. All I said was that Halo 3 will outsell MP3 lifetime sales in a single day. Thiswill soon bea fact, not an opinion. Halo 2 outsold MP2 lifetime sales in a single day by more than a factor of 2. That doesn't make Halo better. It just means there are a lot of obsessive Halo fanboys out there.

Second MP3 is getting enough hype from Nintendo for MP 3 to have strong sales. It will cross 1 million easliy IMO by the end of this year. It has gotten nothing but strong previews. Both will do very well. Halo will outsell it big deal.

Halo is big but i hate how people go crazy over sales like its the only thing that sells...SSBM sold almost as much as Halo 2..It was 1million or so behind it and i expect even more from SSBB..On the other hand New Super Mario BRos sold 10.52million, Pokemon Diamond/Pearl already sold 10million...Even Nintendogs sold 14.7million...Halo isnt the only thing that sells...

That about sums it up for me. I'm an only child and Corruption isn't online so I'm ra wanting a super-robust, mega-hard single player. Thats what metriod has to offer. Rehash 3 only has 1mil pre-oreders BECAUSE of halo and rehash 2.

Themost ironicthing is this though...even though lemmings HATED Halo 2 singleplayer and complain, Halo 3 will still sell vastly better than Halo 2. I've said it b4...lemmings don't care about singleplayer in Halo games anymore. Sure, they complain for the sake of complaining. But I'm SURE that many lemmings jumped immediately into Halo 2 multiplayer and didn't give a damn about the singleplayer experience. Don't kid yourselves lemmings. You don't care about the singleplayer in Halo games anymore.

So there it is. I personally can't stand Halo. I'd rather play Eternal Sonata, Blue Dragon this year. But not the lemmings. Oh no. Their precious Halo franchise is all they really care about. All the other Xbox 360 games are just "filler" to fill the void in lemmings hearts from not being about to play teh Halo 3 yet. :cry: And don't tell me I'm exaggerating either. Lemmings themselves have said this. Go way back and try to find GeOW posts when it 1st released. A LOT of the comments were "great game, but it is just a taste b4 Halo 3". Seriously, do lemmings truly enjoy other games besides the Halo franchise, or are other games just "filler" until the next Halo. Uh oh! I'm a Lemming and I enjoy other games, more then I do Halo, for example, Ninja Gaiden Black, Fable, Far Cry Instincts, Doom 3, Half-Life 2, and there will be no more Halo games, except the Halo Wars Franchise and maybe others besides that(Related to Halo of course), and I CAN live without Master Chief, at least for a couple of years before he appears in another game. There won't be any Halo 4:)...I enjoyed Halo 2's gameplay, of course I enjoyed the Multiplayer more than anything, and the Online is even better...And it WILL sell MP3 and other Wii and PS3 games....For now.....When MGS 4 comes out THAT will outsell ALL those games in one day, comparing to the other games' lifetimes.

P.S: Just because you bashed Wii and 360 doesn't save you from Lemmings and Sheeps...

Just because predecessors sold more than another doesn't mean sucessors will:)....SSMB is an AWESOME game but I think Halo 2 sold more, or maybe I'm wrong, but the fact and truth that H3 will prolly sell MORE than SSBB is higher than believing SSBB will sell more than H3

Halo Wars will be a pretty cool game, maybe not StarCraft 2 calibre but it will be good, just hopefully a lot better then the mind numbingly boring gameplay of Halo as an FPS which has a pretty poor storyline and sub par single player (at least compared to other FPS's like Half Life).

Practically each individual mario game outsells Halo.

Yeah I'd hardly call this easily outselling SSBB. Halo CE was beaten by SSBM. At the rate the Wii is growing you can hardly say it will easily outsell SSBB. Metroid Prime I agree though.

Metroid Prime 3 is being advertised to all Wii owners. So I think this one will sell better than 1 and 2. And after those videos, this game will be awesome!Eponique

MP3 will not sell better than MP1. It MIGHT sell better than MP2. Just remember, there are a lot of people who hated MP2 and are now turned off of the Metroid Prime series altogether. Not me though. Also, another reason I think MP2 sold so much worse than MP1 is because people had no patience for backtracking. There are a lot of people, therefore, that hated MP1 as well. I really like MP1 and MP2. However, MP2 is one of the worse selling Metroid games of all time going by the vgchartz.com numbers. Now, the Wii install base may help MP3 sell better. But it won't sell much better than MP2 IMO.

I'd say Halo 3 story mode will destroy Metroids.

Bigger battles, 4 player Coop, gameplay about the same.

Oh yeah, it also offers a killer multiplayer.

All in all, its a better game, and will sell better.
