I've been seeing some harsh hate against Ubisoft by sheep lately.

In that case, you might as well hate the whole industry for your lack of third party support. But for some reason you sheep seem to be scapegoating Ubisoft?

Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway

Far Cry 2

EndWar

H.A.W.X

Prince of Persia

Beyond Good & Evil 2

Splinter Cell: Conviction

Just a few examples upcoming games for 2008.

More succesfull franchises such as Ghost Recon, RainbowSix and Myst.

What exactly are you trying to achieve by scapegoating Ubisoft?

Ubi has been doing teribble lately everywhere, they deserve some hate.

They stole a pirated software to fix a rainbow six vegas 2 problem on pc , breaking their own rules.

Red Steel is a 1 million seller. A low budget trash game sold well enough for them to develop a sequel. Ubisoft is not to be blame for your own failures.

What? You don't have a gaming PC... or a 360 or PS3?

Thats not an argument to hate Ubisoft. Most of those games cannot be developed on the Wii. Or do you expect ''special treatment'' just because Nintendo chose to go with a low tech console? Blame nintendo.

Defending the Wii's third party support is like trying to defend a murderer when the prosecution has his DNA, multiple eyewitnesses, video, the suspect's diary and a jury comprised of his victims' relatives.

Everyone wanted Red Steel cause its the first FPS on the Wii + it was advertised. Since I bet no one could stomach more than 2 levels I hope the next one sells like crap

Oh excuse me, I wasn't aware such fundamentalist/extremistic Nintendo gamers actually existed. Oh wait, there is a term for that... a fanboy.

Isn't sheep a term used in SW to identify the gamers among us?

Actually, I rented Red Steel and was able to see how much it sucked so I wasn't victimized. I see if 1 million out of 30 million people buy a game then it's justification that the game should suck in the first place. Nice logic. BTW Splinter Cell was on the GC and received a 8.4 score. Double Agent was released across multiple platforms and scored similarly, but on the Wii it gets a 6.2 because Ubi puts out half-assed games for the Wii.

lol well at least someone agrees that they are putting half assed games out..

So you do expect special treatment? Nintendo is to be blame for their decision to go with outdated hardware. The Wii has a much different architecture compared to the higher tech systems. Why scapegoat Ubisoft for it? What exactly are you trying to achieve?

Ubisoft always port down from the most powerful system, thats what they do when it comes to ports. Unlike EA where they are ported up from PS2 to Xbox so the Xbox version looks sorta better, the Xbox version for ubisoft is ported down into the PS2 making the PS2 version unplayable. Same with GRAW 360 to Xbox and everything else to wii.

by sheep you mean people only owning a wii and maybe combines it with the word fanboy too.

those people DONT want or have a gaming pc ,360 or ps3 , so if you ask why they think ubisoft is crap or whatever they only thinking about all the games they produced on the wii.

my question now is. do YOU think that ubisoft games on the wii are good ?

Downgrading is not a very practical solution when the architecture is so different. A complete overhaul of the design has to be done. You expect ''special treatment'' just because Nintendo chose to go with a low tech console. Once again, Ubisoft is not be blamed for this.

The point is, if Wii only owners were to respect Ubisoft, Ubisoft would be making their quality titles on the Wii also. Maybe we wanna play their good FPS's with Wiimote controls and save $10 by buying the Wii version instead. We cant just go out and buy another console just to appreciate their games. Money doesnt come easy to most people. Ubisoft insists on giving Wii owners crap games while other consoles get the good games and we cant do anything about it. Ubisoft deserves hafe from sheep

Red Steel was not a low budget game ... as a matter of fact it is probably the highest budgeted title currently available on the system. I am aware of a few titles on the 360/ps3 that have smaller budgets. (Blitz: The league 2 for instance has a 10 mil budget, and that game is spread across multiple platforms.) And I am even willing to bet that HVS has a smaller budget than Red Steel had because of the size of HVS, I do not see them being able to internally develop a 10+ million dollar title without financial backing from a publisher because of the studio's size.

Of course. You don't expect them to do their best to make it work on the platforms they release it on? They certainly did their best making it work on PC and co. Red Steel isn't even a port. If they knew from the start a straight downgrade would be ridiculous they shouldn't have made it at all, it was a waste of effort.

The thing I find most hilarious is that Nintendo are actively promoting Ubisoft shovelware (see E3). Ubisoft have said that Nintndo treats them like a first party studio

Nintendo WANTS crap on their system and they have no interet in standards. they are not investing in amazing new IPs like Sony/Microsoft. They are not promoting or helping developers (such as Sega or Namco) that are doing a good job on their system like Sony and Microsoft

Nintendo hates sheep and they love Ubisoft and Shovelware. That's the irony

Ubisoft is doing the exact same thing as Nintendo. They cater to both the casual and hardcore market but the difference is Ubisoft sees the Wii owners as the casual market and PS3, 360 and PC owners as the hardcore market.

It makes perfect sense from a business perspevtive. Why did every sheep defend Nintendo at E3 and claimed that Nintendo has the right show whatever they want because it made sense from a business perspective but Ubisoft has not the right to do so?

The thing I fuind most hilarious is that Nintendo are actively promoting Ubisoft shovelware (see E3). Ubisoft have said that Nintndo treats them like a first party studio

Nintendo WANTS crap on their system and they have no interet in standards. they are not investing in amazing new IPs like Sony/Microsoft. They are not promoting or helping developers like Sega or Namco that are doing a good job on their system (unlike Sony and Microsoft)

Nintendo hates sheep and they love Ubisoft. That's the irony

After the E3 incident... I think its very obvious that Nintendo is taking mainstream gaming to a new low. Even the most fundamentalist/Extremists sheep have admited this.

Sheep just have to accept this, and move on.

Thanks, that saves me from having to type it down. Agreed.

A High Budget trash game? That makes matter even worse. Doesn't that that mean that alot of effort was put into the game during the development process?

PullTheTricker

which shows the quality of Ubisoft's development team, I suppose.
