Shenmue 3 Exclusive to the PS3?

Looks like Nagoshi-san the mind behind the great Shenmue series has a mysterious PS3 title in development. Rumours are out that it will most likely be Shenmue 3.

Nagoshi closed off the event with hints on not one, but two PS3 games with which he's personally involved. How personally? Well, did we forget to mention that Nagoshi showed up at the event in robes and flanked by two geisha girls? This cosplay was actually a hint at Nagoshi's next game.

In development for the PS3 from the team that made Yakuza, Nagoshi described the game, whose name was not announced, as "my biggest production since I started working on consumer games." He expects it to exceed Yakuza in its ability to move players. An official unveiling will take place on September 14th, with a release planned for Spring.

As for the second game, Nagoshi was only able to say "I believe we'll be able to announce it in the not-so-distant future." We can't wait to see what he wears then.

Trust us. I dont have A PS3 but I would buy it just for Shenmue 3. (maybe)

Cows weren't so hot for Shenmue II when it was released for Xbox or for the Dreamcast.

Man, I kinda hope it's not Shenmue. Then I'd have to buy a bloody PS3.

Then again, since it'd probably be really expensive to make (Shenmue is the second most expensive game ever, after Too Human), why would they make it PS3 exclusive so soon?

Yeah, if this is true I'm going to have to shell out for a PS3 :(. It wouldn't ever come out on PC. Perhaps it will go multiconsole though, so I can get it on the 360

I'd wager that one of them is Super Monkey Ball related and the other isn't Shenmue. Also that this one game isn't gonna make its projected spring release date. Anyhows, more stuff from the Yakuza people can only be a good thing.

I still remember playing Shenmue on my Dreamcast. It wasn't very good. Makes me wonder how many people who claim to be drooling over this game actually played it. I see a lot of good PS3 games coming, but this isn't one of them.myke2010

I beat both part 1 and 2 twice! I love both of them!

I hate the PS3. Its the worst of the available systems, has next to nothing redeeming about it and is overall crap.....

But if Shenmue 3 is exclusive to it I'll buy one in a heartbeat... in half a heartbeat.
