Or maybe they just like COD?
I have a 360, I could play Halo 4 if I wanted to. I am not the biggest Halo fan, it's multiplayer is ok but I find it's campaigns to be very mediocre this gen and it's gameplay is not up to par with other shooters out there. I don't see how anyone could honestly give 2 sh!ts about Master Chief or Cortana or just the Halo story period. Not talking about the books, just the games themselves, MC is a dull and shallow character and has zero personality.
But this is just my opinion, I hope the game does well for the Halo fans. But I have lost interest with Halo this gen, it is not the giant it once was. For me I like COD better because I find it to be a more complete package and an overall superior game. Only downside is that the MW games have short campaigns, but they are still better quality than Halo.

Funny how you never liked it before.I have always liked COD, I liked it since COD 2 on 360. I just didn't talk about it much on here because SW community is so stupid when it comes to people that like COD, it's pointless because you just get a bunch of stupid anti-social losers who go "COD sucks and you are a casual noob".
But after seeing Black Ops 2 my jaw hit the floor. It looks really good. Like best shooter ever made good. It has it all, a great campaign with multiple endings and player choice, some sanbox gameplay, a whole new class system, lot's of multiplayer content, and of course Zombies! But this time a zombie campaign and an open world zombie mode with up to 8 players. How can you ask for more? It has literally everything.
What's funny though is the haters say "COD never changes" but thenn Black Ops 2 makes some big changes and the haters say "COD just sucks, these games are better". They can't please you no matter what they do, you just hate COD because it's popular and you are not. The game doesn't even have kill streaks anymore. Is that a big change enough for ya?
I find it slightly amuzing how someone who berates somone when they can not handle differnet oppinions, makes so much effort to underline that he himself dismisses most oppinions and viewpoints except his own. Would be wise NOT to throw rocks when you live in a glass house, just saying.

As for the topic, No I do not think CoD should die, but they should give longer dev cycles to the games, 2 years clearly ain't enough, since it has moved very little since CoD4, yet releasing a yearly game (which most of the time felt more like exp packs). As for BlOPS2 I hold my reservation for when it is out, I tend to not judge on hype, but as someone who has not played a CoD since Cod1 (does not really seem like my kind of game), the Blops 2 info sofar seems more inline with what I would play.
The only thing I can honestly say against CoD has nothing to do with the game, but rather the way it is made and the publisher behind it so *shrug* Objectively CoD itself is fine, it was not made to be the most ballanced game in existence, and it certainly aint the best ever made.
I would have preferred a longer dev cycle, and more time to avoid fatigue and negative credit from alot of sides of the community. Making longer, deeper, and overall more polish (outside of setpieces). I am fairly certain they could have done the above fairly easy given just a bit more then 2 years.
