They would look vastly better on it, get the option for mods, the devs wouldn't be as limitied by the hardware anymore, ect.
The PC is not direct competition for the consoles so they could still claim "console exclusivity".
What you think?

Examples of "console exclusives" released on the PC:
Halo 1 & 2, Gears 1, Alan Wake, ect.
I can see Gran Turismo, Uncharted, God of War and Last of Us all looking vastly better on the PC...

Not neccessarily.
CoD is on the PC too but it has the best sales on the consoles.
I mean, games like Uncharted shouldn't.
Games like Halo and Alan Wake were ported for a reason, they have solid gameplay that would easily work on PC.
Absolutely not.
That doesn't even make sense.

I think Forza and the newer Halo games should come to the PC (as well as Gears of War).
I mean, games like Uncharted shouldn't.
parkurtommo
Why not?
The PC gamers who don't have a PS3 yet won't buy it just for Uncharted or The Last of Us.
But if it were ported over they might be interested in getting it (meaning more sales).
God no. Not these mainstream, peasant games. PC is too good for those. Bleh!parkurtommoNah, PC is too bad for those, they are console experiences that are strictly for consoles.
That's a rubbish excuse tbh.
Gamepads exist for the PC too you know...
Nope.
They would make a loss just like MS did with Halo 1 and 2.
PC gamers just don't buy as many games as we do. Deal with it.

Yeah.. but it just doesn't seem like it would feel right. Imagine watching the same movie on your monitor on a desk, and then watching it on your TV from your couch, do you see what I mean? And even if someone is using a gamepad, and has their PC hooked up toan HDTV, it still loses the plug and play implications that consoles have... I don''t know. It's really just about how you would feel while playing, it just wouldn't be the same thing. I have nothing against the Pc as a gaming platform though, obviously.Nope.

They later released it for the PC and said something like "the publisher prevented the PC release".
MS thought PC gamers will buy the 360 just for Alan Wake and that obviously didn't happen... (especially after the fact that it was originally ment to be a PC exclusive but then went console-only)

I know, Alan Wake is awesome on PC, the graphics are definitely so much better, the improved performance, etc. all makes it better. But imagine if these factors didn't exist, it would be better on the 360.Tell that to Steam.

Fair point but they are still a relevant source of legit games at great prices.Must be why the best selling exclusive this gen between the PC,PS3 and 360 is a PC game lol. What PC gamer don´t buy as much as "you do" are multiplatform games, there´s a reason as to why about every single game from the best selling PC games of all were PC exclusives when they were released(and many still are). The PC market is grwoing now in a way that never did before, and as seen from many games in the last couple of years or so then sales numbers are increasing dramatically, wich is a no brainer,it has steam, wich is pretty much the biggest and best gaming servicce in the world, and it´s not even the only one.Nope.

The reason for the poor Gears 1 sales on PC were due to MS forcing gamers to have a gold sub to play MP on the PC. That is the primary reason MS dropped the gold requirement to play MP on PC.Tell that to Steam.

And the reason why Gears didn´t do very well on the PC was simply because MS tried to push the paid GFWL service on the PC and everyone gave them the finger basically.PC gamer ic jelly of console exclusives thread/

Yea, I'm a PC gamer all right.
I rather play console games in superior graphics the PC offers. ;)

Halo 1 & 2, Gears 1, Alan Wake, ect.

Well the big reason that none of those particular games will ever be on anything but a Sony console, is that they are all published/owned by Sony. As for whether or not they should... I don't really care. Multiplats are (almost) always better on PC, and PC gets plenty of exclusives. There's just not very console exclusive games that interest me. And the ones that do, are very much console games. Like, technically, they could look better on a PC, but that would be the only advantage.
Well, Nomatter how much Console Fanboys wail about it, it IS happening. How much PC Fanboys howl, it IS happening.
Basicly the age of Exclusives are comming to an end, most exclusives take a loss, or barely break even on console. Multiplats are the focus.
One is either ignorant, or living in their own dreamworld if they do not see the signs, and hear Devs and Console manufactors bring this up time and time again.
The only majority (as in nearly all) of exclusives we see now, are games too small to be considered multiplat, or one of the few Exclusives that really has a pull and can demand to be exclusive (sorry Sony fans, this pretty much means Nintendo only)
In the end it will be the end for a good chunk of the console buisness (Maybe xcept Nintendo, they have a very rare spot with their exclusives, they are the equalant of Walt Disney, as long as they do not go 3rd party, they would hold and justify a console, MS and Sony? Nope, the majority are multiplats across all major platforms anyways, and they have less and less exclusives. its an age going away.

Not true. people still buy 360's
then ppl wont have much incentive to buy a ps3/360 if they can get it on PC...Jonwh18
:P
in a way you're right, some people just don't like PCs, even if PCs and consoles had exactly the same games a lot of people would still buy consoles.
I'm not judging those people or anything, though personally, I'd stick with PC :P
