PS3 has some pretty close to life-like games....

The Show is nowhere near real life.
no where near real life?......um, is there a game or games that are...when compared to The Show?

I prefer games with great imaginative art with a current generation engine, rather than something that looks completely life like.Im just saying, with all the games that are coming out that are just plain beautiful, do we really need to make it any better that it is now, or is it the best?
We even have systems and controllers that go on our movements. For example, lets say there was an "xbox 720" or "Playstation 4" how would they improve Graphic-wise?

Ive played the show, and i have also been to a baseball game, it isnt even close. Horrible jaggies and filtering with flat low qualtiy textures are not close to real life.

Can you not see all of the jaggies on the pitcher's leg? I have caught many games in my life and I have yet to see a jaggies on my pitcher's leg^ ThisTechnology should always improve. I see no benefit to staying where we are currently.
Graphics do not necessarily need to become more life-like, but it can advance so that more is possible, such as better physics, ability to render much larger levels etc, etc.

46in samsung. the show 2010.[QUOTE="shadow13702"]There is no gain in 3D gaming. Is it a better experience? No. All it does is make the picture look as though it is closer to your face. In my opinion.Well next gen will proably have 3d as a must if it works. The Ds and Ps3 already have 3d as far as i know

You haven't played any games in 3D. I can tell because you've got your assumptions backwards. It doesn't "make the picture look as though it is closer to your face" (well, maybe a little with some convergence settings, but that's only minor), what it does is give everything depth. It's like the difference between looking outside from behind a window, and looking at a photograph of the window and what's behind it. When done correctly, it adds a huge amount of immersion to the experience, and also gives you a much cleaner looking image. I never run my games with any AA for example, as the games simply don't require it in 3D.

lol, and to be honest with you I think all of us at OperationSports would bring it up/complain to the Devs who post there about the "horrible" jaggies...
anyone else who owns the game, please chime in...
