Hey everyone,
so, recently, I have just lost my ps3 after 3 years of having it and not having any problems at all. My warranty gave up on me about 3 months ago and I contacted sony and they wouldn't bend the rules a bit, which blows! So now I am in a dilemma because I am a university student, going to class year round, and I don't have the cash to bust out 300 big ones for a new system. I know the repairs would cost from 150 to 250, this is what the person on the sony line told me and explained that I would probably be 250 or more.
So, this is the tricky part, Priar to my ps3, I had a 360 for about 11/2 years and it acquired the RROD, so I got it sent away and returned, only to get the RROD again after a month. So I traded in my 360 to get my ps3.
Both of these systems are blowing my mind on how much they break so easily.... I have a ps1 from the first launch back in 95 that still works and why don't these newer technologies work?
So, I am leaning on getting a xbox, but I would like to know if the RROD solution is fixed? because 199 is a lot better than 3 something, yah know.
Let me know what you guys and gals think... thanx!
