I prefer the 360 controller and the series is originally a 360 series so I want to get it on the 360.

But the PS3 version is I think supposed to look better plus I never played part 1 and the PS3 has that interactive comic book thing where you can make the key decisions from part 1 which are then imported into part 2.

Any advice?

What the series is originally on should not really alter your choice, should basically go with which one you'd enjoy more (i.e since you like the 360 controller more, should probably go with that one) I didn't play ME2 without an ME1 save, but it might have some built in choice selection anyways.

Get it on 360 by far, you can import your ME1 heroes, play ME1 to have the real trilogy and looks a lot better on 360 too

Not lying, i have seen the comparisson, textures are far better on 360 and the lighting far far superior

On PS3 the lighting is totally off

The differences are minor, you are exaggerating.. The only way you can get a version of ME2 that looks a lot better than another is on PC.

Buy DA2 from Amazon ($52). Use the code to get ME2 on PC for free. Trade in DA2 to Best Buy ($38 ). Net $14 for ME2 PC (with all Cerberus content)

I wouldn't touch ME2 without first playing ME1. It's like watching lotr 2 without watching the first. Plus ME1 is better imo. In ps3 you can't play ME1 and continue the story on ME2 so it's not worth it.

It was first released on the 360. It was meant to be as a 360 exclusive so if you have a choice get it for the 360. It is the same thing with PC exclusives-turned-console-ports...it is better to get them for the system they were originally designed for (if given a choice).

To put it simply, the version you must never get is the PS3 one, does not have ME1 hero import or ME1 itself and is the worst looking too (even if by little)

Why would you get it on PS3 when it is so much cheaper on the 360?

It is a real shame if you dont play ME1 and then import your character. The story in ME1 is much better, and what makes the game genius is that all the decisions you make in ME1 carry over to ME2 and ME3 (when its released).

I cannot emphasize how much more you will get out of the game if you play ME1 first, then ME2.

If you have a half-decent PC get both games for less than getting them on console AND get better graphics (and better gameplay in the case of ME1).

But if that's not an option get it for xbox 360, but pick up ME1 first.

This is a trilogy after all, and no 5 minute silly comic book intro is going to make up for a 30+ hour gaming experience. Me1 introduces you to the world of Mass Effect and it's characters. You need to play it in order for the choices that you make to have the gravitas that the developers intended and for the universe to make sense.

Coming from someone who has played both versions, get it on the 360. The PS3 version is more buggy and the Xbox is the only series you can get the full triligoy. I don't care how much some cow says that the comic summarizes it up, a 15 minute comic isn't an adequate summary for a 40 hour game.

Get both ME1 and ME2 for the XBOX360.

Even though ME2 is the better game and can be played without importing a save, playing ME1 first will make the experiene a lot more enjoyable.

The 360 version allows for the import of a ME1 save game, to me, this should be a no-brainer if you have any interest in the series. A little motion comic can't simulate the weightof the decisions made in the first to a even a fourth of the intended degree. Get it on 360.

price of ME2 on PS3 = the price of ME1 and ME2 on 360 price of ME2 on PS3 > the price of ME1 and ME2 on PC Mass Effect should be played on PC.

360-mass effect 1 and 2 can be purchased for less then Mass effect 2 on the ps3 *as well you cen get atleast 2-3 dlc as well for less* the interactive comic is supposed to come to ME2 on pc and 360.

Ps3-an interactive comic, all the story dlc minus arrivala few of the optional weapon dlc..etc Doesn't run better or look better it just looks the same.

Get the game on whatever system you want but if you already have it on 360 ME1 that is there is no real point in getting it on ps3 you dont get any of the story carry over an interactive comic that gives you as most 8 choices does not replace an entire game.

360 to import saves. To me it would be a no brainer since i find ME1 a better game than ME2 in some areas.

360, it's cheaper, less buggy, and you will have the ability to play ME and import your character. You can get ME1 and 2 for less than $40 on Amazon.

I just don't have time to play ME1 - I'm pushing it even considering playing ME2. My hope is that while I miss out on some enjoyment in ME2, I'll at least get the importing when ME3 comes out (although I guess I'll still be missing out on some of the import stuff from ME1 when I play ME3. I'm going to start a new topic right now called "How big a deal is it to go right to Mass Effect 2 (and skip part 1)".

You missing too much. My advice is that if it takes longer, Play ME1-ME2.
