Should i get Skyrim for PC or consoles ?

It runs amazing on my non-gaming laptop (i7, 6gb ram, radeon mobile hd 5470), literally runs at full HD resolution with AA,etc. "High" detail settings...and my laptop has issues with games like deus ex and sonic generations and cannot run them at full resolution or high details...so, honestly, get it for pc. Looks amazing, mods make it look better, and it has a huge community all ready.

Get the superiorly definitive version; the Nintendo 3DS one obviously.

With those specs you'll be able to play Skyrim fine.

But I would advise you to hook up your 360 controller because the UI is pretty terrible for M&KB

I actually bought 2 versions, ps3, and PC, and i've had a lot more crashes with the pc version so I'm actually progressing on the ps3 and just messing aroun on the PC waiting for the editor. No editor yet, am sad panda

I got it on PC and my PC aint all that but it's worth it just to play in that crispy 1080P yum

I would go for 360 for the better controls, ease of use and the exclusive expansions it will get

I recommend PC if you want the best version.

The 360 and PS3 version is the same, so if you want it for consoles just get it for the one that has your controller prefrence or if you prefer Trophies or Achievments.

PS3 version is way behind the 360 one, 360 version looks and performs a lot better

PS3 has been reported to become even uplayable after a while, while on 360 runs fine and with better visuals too

OP, just a note about the PC version.

I've heard from friends that there is a bug that'll keep the game from utilizing more than 2gb of ram, and this will cause the game to crash.

There's a simple, manual fix available, so don't let that keep you from enjoying it on the PC. I just want to point it out just so you know.

PC version is worht it for the load times alone.

Skyrim will probabaly sell 2x more on consoles than on PC though and frankly on 360 looks and runs fine

Indeed, it is like the designed it for consoles and as an afterthough for PC and is really hard to do anything in inventory etc, at first i did not even know how to get out of the items screen, first time i get so confused with any games menus

Im gonna play it on ultra high 1080p on a 560M GTX laptop connected to TV via HDMI using PS3 controller - that the best way to play Skyrim imo. :cool:

Skyrim on Radeon HD 6670

Settings at "Ultra" preset, 4xAA, 16xAF, 1680x1050 resolution, presuming v-sync is on (no off option). Preset augmented with FXAA on, decals set to ultra and shadows to high. This run gives 20 min, 65 max and 33 avg FPS.

The UI is terrible in all versions, it's doesn't get better using a gamepad. At least you can bind your favorite weapons and spells to 1 - 0 keys, so you can change them without pausing the game.

PC all the way, it looks a lot better, and with mods it looks miles better, and when mod tools come out it wont even be the same game anymore.
