Im not sure what the PS3 version has to offer in terms of content but im told the 360 has two downloadable expansions..
Who knows the PS3 might come with it though.
Personally I think you should just search the official site to better help your decision.
Which console is the game just generally better to play on? I don't own a high end pc, so that's not an option.GunnerVIII
PS3 verson is better
Well with the game of the year edition the xbox 360 version now has been reported to run as smooth as the ps3 original version... The ps3 goty edition hasn't came out yet so there isn't any comparison. I read it from bethseda oblivion general forum if anyone is wondering where I got this...fistoflightIf you want the shivering isles get it for 360
Ps3 has better graphics run smoother....
360 has achievements and the shivering isles expansion available currently.....
There's the "tale of the tape" only you can make the decision.

Why is 360 hitting 17 million by June 2008 the "crazy lemm comment of the year"?
Isn't it at near 12 million now? Didn't it sell 1 million last December alone?
If it isn't at 17 million, it will be close enough.
I think the PS3 version runs smoother. I had the 360 version it ran extremely choppy. Achievments aren't worth a poor frame rate so I'd say go for the PS3 version. DA_B0MB
Poor framerate? are you sure you played the 360 version? Mine runs perfectly smooth. Perhaps you are talking about the caching problem with the original release of the game? You know, the problem that was fixed shortly after with an update?
Skipped OP, lulz. Get the 360 GOTY version.Slashkice
Oh yeah, I forgot about the 360 GotY version ( It comes with Shivering Isles right? )
It's an easy slam dunk, get that version....both are $60 (the 360 GotY and the PS3 Oblivion) but the 360 version comes with Shivering Isles (along with several other downloads) which costs $30 by itself, and the PS3 version doesn't even have the ability to download Shivering Isles yet, if ever.
Or....you could get the regular 360 version for $30.....but if you play on downloading Shivering Isles ever, it's well worht it to get the GotY version on 360.

hmm so in a few months even thopugh its at its best its going to sell 5 million, even though PS3 and WII are getting there real games??
i doubt the 360 is at 12 million, and also for it to sell 5 million in 6 months is ilogical, it has been out for 2 years, and according to you every 6 months 3 million are sold
i hope you're joking
