Where do your friends play online games?

Which platform exclusives do you prefer?

If you get the same answer to both of those questions then there ya go.

If it's a tie then start looking at the smaller factors- controller, features, etc.

As this is all probably just made up why not just pretend you have both.

If you have an Xbox One X and can afford a PS4 Pro, why not both. Is there a reason you can only have one console?

Though being a PC gamer I really want to say ditch the Mac (ewwww) and get/build a real PC.

The best thing to do is sell the Mac and X1X and get a gaming PC. If you are still interested in the Sony exclusives, get a PS4 Pro as well.

Get & build a good gaming PC! You'll thank me later :)

Appreciate the thought but I don't want a PC, can't think of much worse than spending more time on a PC, nor the expense for this particular hobby.

Do you like the exclusives coming out this year for PS other than God of War? If so, you really don't have any choice but to switch or buy both. Compare that with the Xbox exclusives coming out this year or next also. Then you also have to figure in the slight bump in fidelity that the X offers on most multiplats(not all, ex MHW)... Is it noticable enough? Weird situation you put yourself in though.

Well if you don't want a PC, then I'd suggest keeping the Xbox One X since it's the strongest console around. But however, is there anything you wanna play on PS4 Pro? You should do more research into what PS4 exclusive games that catches your fancy.

Being a mac user, you likely aren't hurting for funds. Keep the One X and get a PS4 Slim (not Pro).

Some great comments, I could have both yes but I'm one of those people who'd rather have just one (plus a switch!).

If I was a windows user I'd stick with the X, having remote play and some of the play anywhere games makes it a no brainer.

God of War and TLOU2 are the upcoming games I'd want to play, PUBG and SOT were the ones I got the X for, the former was fun and the second, so far, is pretty shallow.

If you really have an Xbox One X I would keep it because all third party games like RD2, Battlefield V, COD etc are going to look better on the X. Second most likely the PS5 won't be out until at least fall 2020. You could get a regular PS4 this year to play all the exclusives games. TLOU2 most likely isn't out until second half of 2019.

If you have some Xbox 360 games they run and look better on the X1X too.

If you like a diverse library of video games then Pro is what's up. If you like controller collecting then XB1

It's really not complicated. If you absolutely must have a console the PS4 is the best for exclusives (Microsoft don't even know what that word means anymore) and the X1X is best for multiplats so buy both or decide which is most important.

If multiplats is the answer, PC is where it's at whether you want to hear that or not.

All things considered if Xbox One is the answer I'd rather not hear the question.

If you stopped selling your systems maybe just keep both and you can have both. Going by GameStop trade-in prices, the amount of money lost trading these systems would have been enough to simply own both.

GPU prices are steadily dropping back to normal MSRP with the mining boom coming crashing down. They are no longer going out of stock faster than they come in.

Get a job and keep your systems. I really can't wrap my head around the nonsense of selling one system to get another. You're losing money each time you do.

I'd stay, simply for Gamepass. Used my free period to download some real gems I never thought I'd like, and it's convinced me to subscribe. I have both consoles, and will get GoW and Tlou2, but losing money on one console (Plus any digital games you might have) to buy another for two games doesn't make sense to me. Also, Tlou 2 is likely to be out in 2019 by which time we might know a bit more about a PS5 .....
Either way E3 is just over 2 months away, and we'll have a better idea of what Sony and MS have in store for their consoles. I'd at least wait until then.

So you sold your Pro, and bought an X1X, even though you knew God of War was coming, so now your asking people on a forum if you should buy another Pro so you can play God of War? What a dipshit.

you can use an adapter for the ps4 to use your xbox controller. It's called cronusmax. There are different brands too I think.

Everything about the PS4 is better except for the hardware. The PS4 has a much larger online gaming community than that of XBox One and the exclusives are just so much better.

If you got bored of the PS4 pro and sold it for the one x and now your bored of the one x... I don’t think the consoles are the problem. Maybe you’re just burnt out of gaming? I say take a step back from it all together for a while.

Honestly, x1x is fine for all multiplatform games and even close enough to pc quality. Unless you only want sony exclusives, id stick with the X..
