Should Kingdom Hearts 3 be on the PS3 or the Wii?

Just now wondered this question and thought up some possible advantages for each depending on which system is on.

Wii - the Wii-mote might allow for some nifty keyblade moves and other fun abilities. Plus, it's not like Donald Duck or Goofy needs super HD graphics to look nice considering that they're very simply drawn characters.

PS3 - It'd be cool to use the Six-axis to pilot Dumbo or Pegasus (provided they dont f%$k things up like they did with Lair). Also the PS3's graphics could easily make things seriously epic.

This is up to Disney and Square.

Who knows? It might be iPod exclusive.

Why rule out the 360? It's western. KH sells, by far, best in the us, then europe.

I heard rummors in the internet that Disney is wants the game to come to the wii and is negotiating with square Enix to bring it to the wii Square maybe whant it to the ps3 or multiplataform.

I'll be honest and say I would like it to be on the PS3. This is not because I don't own a Wii because I will buy one for Zelda. It is because I want to see it with FFXIII/FFVSXIII graphics. Selfish of me to think this? Maybe. But the game would be beautiful plus I wonder what they could do with the amount of enemies. A more epic 1000 heartless battle? Less room-to-room world design and have the game more open?

That's just what I would like to happen.

Where it will go is a whole nother story. It might go to PS3 because the KH team will have some great knowledge of the hardware after FFVSXIII plus I believe Nomura likes power behind his games. And with Disney beind all for Bluray and everything, that may help.

But the sales of the Wii would be great and I wouldn't doubt for a second that SE would love to see some sales. And if it did go to the Wii, I have faith that Nomura would do something great with the motion controls without making them feel slapped into place.

I think it should be on both. :3

There is no evidence to say that it will, for a fact, be on the Wii just like there is no evidence leading towards a PS3 release.

It is all speculation at this point. Nothing more and nothing less.

I thought that was KH was?? :P I beat both 1-2 by button mashing.. so I don't see how it would be different on a different system..

Nomura is working on a new game.

"Birth by Sleep" is as close as we will get until 2012 or something.

I think it would most likely be going to the Wii with a chance of it going multiplat to the other ones. The reason why I think it would make sense going on the Wii is purely financial.

SE has realized that it costs a lot of money to make games on the PS3 and FFXIII was financially crippling the entire company. That's why they decided to make it multiplat for the 360.

With that lesson learned, it makes more sense for them to put KH3 on the Wii cause development costs are lower and it has the largest fanbase with a fairly big demographic that would fit the game perfectly. These are the reasons why I think the Wii will get KH3.

The other alternative is that SE decides to go entirely multiplat with the title and makes it for all of them with the Wii being the lead platform since it's tougher to port from 360/PS3 to Wii than it is to port from Wii to 360/PS3.

Let me rephrase the question. What would be the point of buying the Wii version over another version? Do we really want it on the Wii? (Even though they'll probably put on the Wii anyway)

To quote someone else on the internet "the Kingdom Hearts series has driveled into total cluster of nonsensical plot, filled with terrible original characters while totally circumcising Disney classics, and repetitive button mashing gameplay".

If it is just mindless button mashing like the last one, I don't give a damn in first place. If they manage to take a better route with KH3, then Wii would make sense, it is the best selling console after all and it is partly aimed at younger audiences. Hopefully they won't transform it into a casual game...
