Should Kingdom Hearts 3 be on the PS3 or the Wii?

Oh, I'm sure it would of, had Nintendo not been so stubborn and accepted the change to optical media. That was their mistake.

Limiting the development of one of the worlds best games would have been a travesty, don't you think?

Yes, that is my argument. However, that isn't the entire scope of my arguement. If Sony were to expect Square-Enix to basically alter their entire development structure, to suit them, then in all honesty, I wouldn't agree with Kingdom Hearts being on their platform.

A Developer should be given the freedom to push whatever system they develop for to the max, one reason I'm in support of Exclusive titles.

In agreement with this point, Kingdom Hearts was a franchise that began on a Playstation platform, and for all intents and purposes, in my opinion, should continue to be so. The PS3 does not hinder, nor limit SE's development of this title, so yes, I still believe it should remain so

Also, I don't believe the Wii would hinder the development either, before you call me a Wii hater =]

I'm thinking Multiplayform, i see no reason for it not to appear on all 3 consoles

The PS3 will however, hinder income.

It would sell ALOT more on Wii.

And maybe more on Xbox.

kingdom hearts was never a SUPER ADVANCE graphics masterpeice....it's got Donald Duck in it for christ sake.It dont need to look like Killzone 2

I want it to be on the ps3. I want to enjoy this awesome game on a powerful system with good graphics. I also don't want the wii-controls for this game. KH is very fast-paced and with the wiimote it will just become annoying. But tbh I can't see kh 3 coming to the ps3. it will probably come to the wii because of the higher installbase. one can only hope they make many versions of it, and perhaps port it to 360 too while they're at it. everybody should be able to enjoy kh 3.

But it does add to the development cost though (the average for the PS3 and 360 is much higher than any last gen system)... and limits their potential audience. Also, while discs did offer the benefit of extra space, it's doubtful that this was why Square made the switch to Sony. Rather it was because discs were far cheaper. Cheaper media lead to lower overhead, which meant greater net profits.

When it comes down to it, Square is a company. And like any other company, their primary concern is the bottom line. So Square will develop for whichever system they think will give them the greatest profit margin. (hence FFXIII going multiplat, and DQ9 being developed for the DS)

i don't think my friends who own 360's know what kingdom hearts is.

infact if we're talking casuals i know alot of people who halo brought into gaming and those buddies of mine could care less about kingdom hearts, final fantasy, metal gear solid, katamari, etc.... if it doesn't have aliens or terrorists or nazi's dieing at their hands they're not interested

i don't know if this matters to square. i mean they are releasing FF 13 on 360 a year after the ps3 version and not even in japan

i'd think wii, i'd prefer to see it on wii even though i have a ps3 coz i'd love to see the pandemonium as so many sony fanboys who hyped KH3 for the ps3 turn their backs on it coz its on wii, mostly coz they never really played KH and are just talking trash

i just don't think you're average COD4, Gears player will enjoy it.

i mean fable and knights of the old republic were like the only serious RPGs on Xbox to break a million units..... its just an example how xbox owners don't seem to like japanese style games.
