Should Nintendo have just released the tablet as a Wii add on?

To be honest I think releasing the GamePad as a Wii peripheral was actually originally their intention but once it became clear the Wii was just a bit too under powered to last too much longer they figured they basically had to release a new console along with the new controller.

I like pancakes because you can make really big ones if you have a large skillet or grill, whereas waffles are restricted to the size of the waffle iron.
