Should the PS3 be discontinued in the US?

Then the 360 should be discontinued in Japan and Europe? I say Europe because the PS3 has a higher total of sales there despite a one and a half year headstart of the 360.

i will never understand why people here care about videogame console sales, you would think they more important things to contemplate about, but ehh if it helps you feel good about your purchase, now i'm about to go play my last place console, do i care its in last place, not really am i having fun with my last place console, yes sir

The 360 is not in the top spot every month. There have been several times where the Wii has taken the top spot. Go look at some 2010 NPD reports before you spout off nonsense.

By the way, why should Sony pull out of the market just because the PS3 is in last place? Nintendo was in last place last generation and look where they are now. Leading in sales for both console and handheld systems.

I know the PS2 was great and a there's a lot of PS babies out there but this is a business and we have to be logical. The 360 has destroyed the PS3 in america and now they are even dominating the Wii.

There is no longer a reason to even keep the PS3 on the shelves in america. Unless Sony is a masochist and wants to keep losing money. Move will fail big also btw and maybe then more people will listen.

I know the PS3 is popular in Japan and to some degree in Europe so it's fine if they continue to carry it there. But come on, in the US let's just stick a fork in it, it's done!

I know it's hard PS babies, but it's about time you let it go.

Hey, troll. Here's some food. The 360 doesn't hold a candle to the Wii's sales and probably doesn't even have that large of an install base because half of the ones sold are broken and sitting in a landfill while 360 owners pay for the repairs/replacements by falling for the Xbox live scam.

Dude this is just trolling. Just because the PS3 doesn't sell as much at the 360 isn't an indication that it makes money. That is totally justified by sales being more than expenses and for the unit they are presently. It still sells very well and why can't the market support 3 consoles. I mean even though the hardware has been last in the US market this year it still way over last year's pace and Sony's software sales have been very promising . It just seems people talk out of their you know what to just get an rise from the forum. At least come with an legitimate article that has facts in it before putting a post on this site.
