Shouldn't games that score 9.5 be considered AAA.5e?

Now a days it seems like getting a 9.5 is a much bigger achievement than what it used to be (mainly because Gamespot hands out 9.0s like candy now). Just saying, 9.5 should be recognised as something bigger than say, simply a AAAe, that seems to be very common. That's just my opinion anyways...

Hm, this is why I hate the change to .5 increments. Would Halo 1's 9.7 feel as big of an achievement if it was dragged down to 9.5? I think not!

I haven't played Uncharted 2 so I can't comment on that. I can say that I have played Demon's Souls, loved it, and can see why it was picked for goty.

Yes, people do care about games scoring as such.

I don't see why the .5 can't just be put on AAAe. It doesn't HAVE to be applied to the others. 9.0 to 9.5 is a much more meaningful gap than say the gap between 8.0 and 8.5. The higher you get, the more important that .5 is.

No, just no. If you really want to name each score as its own entity, then just go back to saying its number.

It's more meaningful because 9.0s are handed out like candy, and 9.5s have become very elusive. I think it's doing games like Dragon Age and Forza 3 a disservice to put them in the same category as 9.0s, which seem as common as me taking a dump every morning.

Like another poster said, if it's that big a deal, go back to saying the numbers.

That's actually my fault as to why that didn't make sence. I used the word allusive when I meant to use the word elusive. I fixed it now. It makes more sence.
