Really?? The lightning in that and the second picture looks superior to the other ones. The other ones look kinda washed out imo.

Those look REALLY nice. A little jagged, but it probably wouldn't even be noticable from a distance.

Drake looks a little "weird" in the third pic though. I think it's the lack of facial hair. :P

Shouldnt that be a spoiler? :P but man i LOVED that chapter, the best chapter of the game! i spent over 10 minutes sitting on idle just looking at the city from afar with that epic background music. loved this game so much

2xaa or MLAA is hardly AA, all these games run at 720p and below anyway, so they are still full of jaggies

I know the resolution I'm getting on many 360 games are only marginally better but it does make a difference. Of course Gear1 PC tops everything on all consoles even today.

These rules are made up in such a way that it's impossible to impress you. No cut-scenes even with the in-game engine? Why? Several of the screens posted here are awesome yet still show flaws, like the Kameo shots on page 1. Your basically just dismissing everything except the UC3 screens, some of which leave a lot to be desired. Your gonna sit(stand) there and tell me you are only graphically impressed by one single console title? That's egregious. :|

If you actually go play gears 1 on the PC the only thing that holds up is the AA and the extra resolution. From character models,textures, and animations the game is beyond dated. And yeah I agree with you Peredith

Plus console games age very poorly. Go look at games prior to 2009 that were said to look "amazing".

I took more time trying to find decent Doom 3 screens than I did finding those KZ3 screens. The thing is, Killzone 3 actually looks fantastic in pretty much every direct feed screen because it's a fantastic looking game, Doom 3 isn't (by todays standards).

The visuals in FFXIII impressed you? You should really play more games...superclocked

It's safe to assume you played the inferior 360 version.

Other than flat ground textures in some ares, FFXIII looks better than most console games.

Consoles are really outdated by todays technology, but I still find it impresive how developers can still pump out good looking games with the dated hardware. Killzone 3,Uncharted 3,Skyrim,Gears3,FF13 just to name a few

Just look at this comparison at lense of truth.... Not saying skyrim is the best looking game out there, but that developers are still finding way to make better use of the hardware.

Anyone who says that looks terrible, even compared to PC games, and I've played Crysis 2, Witcher 2, Battlefield 3, Batman Arkham City ect, all maxed out Dx11 (Dx9 in Witcher 2s case), are either blind, or just biased.
