[QUOTE="ActicEdge"][QUOTE="subrosian"] The "general" stores have done a terrible job of putting out the Wii games that a longtime gamer would be interested in... you definitely have to go to specialty shops like GameStop to get the "good stuff". - However the real problem with the Wii is that the "value" delivered by even games like Mad World is too low relative to the other games out there. On a good day I can maybe put in 4 hours of gaming time - given a choice between something like Brutal Legend, Demon's Souls, Valkyria Chronicles, Halo ODST, etc... and something like Mad World, King's Story, Zack & Wiki, or Warioware, the Wii titles are simply going to lose out. - I actually do buy games for my Wii, but half of them don't make it out of the shrinkwrap - I have too many other games I'm already playing on PC, 360, and PS3. The only Nintendo gaming I put any real time into is on the DS, because its portability lets me get in "game time" on the go. So... my Wii is a dust collector. I have to force myself to play games on it, at which point I can't justify it - if I have to *force myself* to do something that's supposed to be fun, something is clearly wrong.subrosian
I won't really argue with you on this since its not an arguable subject, (as far as value goes you aren't right and you're not wrong, what one sees worth and interest in playing varies greatly and thus its a personal thing with no definitive answer) but Zack and Wiki is brilliant and I totally believe it holds its own against any game you mentioned or any Nintendo first party game as well. The game is simply very well done. I suggest you try to make time to play it. Just my 2 cents.
I've played and I didn't feel it was the second coming it was claimed to be. I've played almost, if not all, of the games out there. I buy almost every game that comes out in a year - but at the end of the day, if you ask me what system I'm going to sit down to when I want to play a game, it's not the Wii. I play games on the Wii out of some sense of obligation to get it a fair shot - but it hasn't brought me the same level of enjoyment as my other systems. - It's a far cry from last generation, when the Gamecube was hands down my favorite system.Completely fair. I wouldn't call Z&W the second coming either but I do think its considerably more clever and thought out than most games this gen. I simply thought if you didn't play it it was worth a shot. I feel the same way about LBP (which I constantly state) but yeah, I do suggest you don't force yourself to play something. If you have no will why bother? Games are for enjoyment, you have no duty to play the games if you don't want too.
