Sickest game-related news story yet?

This investigation is pretty big here in the UK at the moment. Thats a hell of a sick way to get 2 PSPs and some PIN numbers from people.

No, its not just about vdeo games, you're absolutely right. The reason i felt compelled to post this though, is because these guys were gamers just like us, and amidst all the **** of System Wars, there are definately things all of us, gamers and fanboys alike, can get behind.

True, the criminals wanted their PIN numbers, so they probably killed them for that, rather than the PSPs or because of influence from GTA4 or MGS4. Either way, I hope these cowards are captured and brought to justice. Truly disturbing.

Am I the only one that finds it strange that this two people withstood over 200 knife stabs without revealing what the burglar wanted to know. That seems a bit weird to me, especially for two PSPs and PIN numbers. It would seem more likely that the person just wanted/liked to torture them or there is more to the story. Philmon

The other one that made me really sad was posted a few days ago, about some crippled kid who got a PS3 and some games as a result of some charity thing, and some other kids went in his house and stole the PS3 and his games.

Exactly what I was going to say, this will somehow get blamed on videogames when the fact is they'd have stolen whatever they could've gotten their hands on, those are 2 small items that you can easily sell for a decent amount of money, that's why they got taken.

It may seem insensitive to ask a wuestion like that, but you make sense. I'm sure the victims gave them the pin numbers before dying. These f**** are just sick... The only way I could have kept quiet is if someone close to me life was at stake...

It's very stupid, but I am a bit paranoid. They were Scientists? There could be a LOT more going on here than we have heard from the news.

The news was kinda sick. It reminded me of Columbine High School Massacre, which had the game "Doom" and "Wolfenstein 3D" involved as the media discovered that the two killers were fans of those games.

Seriously, why do people always blame the machines? Gadgets and/or videogames must not be held responsible for man's violent reactions because the problem will always be man itself.
