Silent Hills and MGS Remake are PS5 exclusives

He's made some of the best and highest rated games in gaming history...

That's like Nintendo getting rid of Miyamoto. Kojima has put that company on his back since the original NES... so you might not like his games but at least respect the man's work ethic and dedication. Game development is not an easy process but some people that only play the games don't think about that.

Without a whole team Kojima is useless, and the MGS franchise is average, and since he's been out in his own, he's made a walking simulator with Hollywood actors etc in it.

Respect his work ethic and dedication, yeah must be hard to turn up to an air conditioned building everyday and boss his subordinate's around, and then take all the glory when its works and none of the blame when it doesn't.

The guy is a hack, most overrated man in the gaming industry.

Without a brain or a lead, a team can not proceed. With art direction or a "vision" a dream can not be realized. I thought you of all people would've realized that by now but I guess not.

Anyway I would like to get as many games as possible on the Xbox platform but I’ll also get a PS5 to get any of the exclusives on it that interest me. I’d certainly be down for a Silent Hill and Metal Gear Solid remakes.

Konami was cranking out classics on NES well before anybody knew who Kojima was. Castlevania, Contra, TMNT, Gradius, and just a shit ton of other good games. Matter of fact, Kojimas best game of that era wasn't even on NES, was MSX exclusive (Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake). MGS1 was Kojimas real break out game and even then he wasn't carrying Konami. That was just the start of him eventually becoming their main breadwinner.

Kojima makes great games, no doubt. But lets not retroactively give him god status lol.

If the Silent Hill thing is a reboot, I hope they do a proper HD remaster treatment for the first three games. The old remaster for 2/3 was straight garbage.

Putting him on a pedestal or giving credit when it's due? When the Contras and Castlevanias faded away, Metal Gear went strong. Then ZOE. He kept that company afloat after 16bit crossed over to 32. I don't care what anyone says, the guy is a legend and earned his place.

My friend. Not saying there is any validity to this rumor, but third party exclusives are a thing. Especially with Sony. And every MGS game has been an exclusive at some point. As you know, MGS4 still is.

It's no stretch to imagine Konami would like to license out some of their IPs. And wouldn't be crazy to see Sony as bidder.

Honestly friend, you should probably just buy a PS5 anyways. As much as you love Metro and Mafia, you'd be absolutely floored by Sony exclusives.

sony exclusive? meh. not interested in movie games. even God of war is now movie game which was hack n slash during PS2 era. they all looks and feel samey.

as for MGS. I only care about original, didnot like 2, didnot care about 3, want to play 4 because solid snake, didnot liked MGS5 so if it was MGS6 i would live without it but its remake of masterpiece that was original so i have to buy PS5.

Knowing that Kojima works closely with Sony now, i see a stumbling block unless Konami are destitute and in need of money, because Kojima has close ties with Sony now and you can bet that he would be making the SH game, and i don't think that would please Konami.

But my friend, you already enjoy similar games. Only difference is both the movie and gameplay parts are better in the Sony games.

Added bonus, the PS5 is probably better than your PC.

I praise none of movie games. you didnot even see me praising Mafia remake which is more of movie game that original was. Original Mafia was anti thieses of movie games. it was cinematic game sure. same as Max payne.

I don't think I'd be surprised if MGS went exclusive. But unless Sony are dumping a ton of money into it, exclusivity will impact quality considering how expensive games are to make. There's a reason more games are multiplat. So this could end up on the PC too. Sony can't afford to keep buying out full exclusivity. When they do like SFV, it still comes to the PC or its a timed exclusive like the Final Fantasy games... Or their own games which are starting to show on the PC as well as PSNow.

They have said exclusive before all for it to crop up on other devices.

Oh, a pundit's hunch now elevated to "rumor". Safe bet though if it were get a remake that it would be a Sony exclusive, even I know that. I could say that about a number of IPs.

If these are Bluepoint remakes I would rather see Silent Hill. I would think MGS would be their first choice as they he done past ports so have some familiarity. I would rather see them work on something else though.

Metal Gear has always been campy trash for me. Silent Hills on the other hand, if that can be delivered via PT gameplay and atmosphere...well sign me up.

I wouldn't rule out an MGS exclusivity but I'd wager this would be a timed exclusivity unless Sony has a LOT of money to burn for Konami.
