Anyone else losing interest in multiplayer of games? It seems beyond MMOS,RTS and the occasional shooter, I don't care if a game has MP as long as the SP campaign is good with a decent amount of content (RPGS better be loaded though :) ). Anyone else feel the same? Imo too many games these days are trying to use MP as an excuse to cut down on the SP and it sucks.

I'm tired of multiplayer. I'd prefer a game built mainly for singleplayer, then have multiplayer worked on from there.

I've always been more of a SP gamer than MP TBH.

I prefer single player too, I find the MP to be too much time consuming once you get hooked to it...Maybe is the competitive nature or something. Id rather play a game with open ended gameplay and tons of replay value..

Multiplayer never really interested me. I love to watch stories unfold in single player.

But, that doesn't mean games like MAG are beyond my realm of playability!!

I'm still rather new to playing online multiplayer games because there is only 2 I have played online for an extended amount of time so I'm fine it, but It is a shame when the single player is so short.

I am a single player guy but sinceI won't buy a game with cut down SP to begin with I have no problems. MP is fun too though butI lose interest quickly.

Yea..I am specifically talking about games like mordern warefare and I suspect uncharted 2 as well, since when the length of the game was asked about he mentioned cut scenes and MP.

Yes, because Call of Duty: Big Red One was 400 hours long while COD4 was only 3 and Metal Gear Solid 2 is 1,000 hours long while MGS4 is only 10 and it's just getting ridiculous now. I also miss the days where you could have 5 birthdays before you beat a game. Nowadays you can't even eat a bite-sized Oreo without beating a game.

I do have some interest in multiplayer as long as it's local, between me and my friends. Though, i'd pick single player over multi-player by a long shot if it came down to it. You can't beat the Zelda's, Metal Gear's, and Mario's of the world.

im sorry, but if it takes you 5 birthdays to beat a game, no matter what gen, i feel sorry for you. unless of course you are living on mercury or something, then its not so long.

I enjoy playing Left 4 Dead and Halo 3 with my friends than playing Uncharted and Banjo Nuts n Bolts by myself. Now, Uncharted is in my top 5 fave. games this gen, but multiplayer offers soooooo much more for your monies worth imo. I'd rather have an awesome game like L4D built entirely around MP than a long, 40+ hour single player opus.

Obviously ThePistolGod is employing heavy hyperbole here.

Most of the time, I would take a game with a strong single player game and local multi as an added bonus over a lackluster single player game with a robust online multiplayer package.

I don't recall the last time I played any game online to be honest... Really, after getting sick with TF2, my interest in multiplayer games really dropped. I've always preferred single player games anyway, and local MP is always better.

Heh why play a game's SP that for the most part has very surprises and many moments that we know are coming when you can you play MP for the lulz and crack up over the hijinks of some games.

Don't get me wrong, I love me some RPGs and whatnot, but the ones with the longest life are the ones with the MP (or the SP games with amazing community support).

Count me in; I'm starting to prefer a good single player game (still can't let go of the Crysis awesomness) than an arcadey multiplayer that is almost sure to be unbalanced.

I've never been much of a multiplayer fan. I mean, it's fun once in a while, but it gets old. I mean multiplayer as in more than 2 players though, because I can play fighting games online... forever.

I always judge the single player before I buy a game, unless it's specifically multiplayer oriented (TF2)

I get cravings for both. Sometimes I really want to get consumed into a SP story othertimes I want to go on Multiplayer for some shallow fun. I REALLY dislike games that have very short SP though. I'm talking under 10 hrs on it's hardest difficulty.
