siren : new translation! looks amazing

Looks good... but Alone in the dark is probably the best looking horror game right now.Adrian_Cloud

No arguing that, AitD is one of my most anticipated games right now. However, this does look like it could be a great game in it's own right. Cannot wait to play both, myself.

Hmm, I dunno, the first and 4th screenshots definitely give AitD a run for it's money. But AitD does look awesome.

Silent Hill V looks absolutely horrendous compared to New Translation. The latest shots are bland and look worse than the PS2 games. Farming out development to The Collective was a huge mistake on Konami's part - the only original Team Silent member working on Silent Hill V is the sound director, Akira Yamaoka. They've done a a great job ****ing everything up thus far. Meanwhile, New Translation is looking like a better Silent Hill game than even Silent Hill V. In fact, the director of the original Silent Hill, Keiichro Toyama, co-created and directed the Siren franchise and is producing New Translation.

Team Silent kind of split up after Silent Hill 4, but they've not been officially disbanded. The biggest exodus was right around the time Kojima Productions was formed.. my best guess is that Konami wanted to divert all of their most talented people Metal Gear Solid 4's way, so they dipped their fingers into other studios. Gamers expect more Silent Hill though, so they've had to farm the franchise out to other people like Climax (0rigins for PSP) and The Collectve (Silent Hill V). Once MGS4 and other Konami projects are finished, it would be good if they officially came back together to make SH6.

No, keep the difficulty as it was. Too many games are easy playthroughs anymore. This looks great, I hope it actually is great.TheSystemLord1

i know what u are saying but siren was like a stealth horror game and some times u hit face a button and u end up in sight jack and u get killed that was not cool but i still loved it lol.

* Same place as the first game, but the protagonists are an american film crew which was unlucky enough to be there.

This is of course, a marketing ploy to get the game to have a more international appeal.

* More action-oriented and you can see enemies' blood stains on characters' clothing.

I suppose another 'increase international appeal' decision.

* Reading between the lines, it seems that the shift to being more combat-oriented will make the game speedier.

* The sight-jacking system is said to have seen improvements, but no details.

* Link navigator system dropped.

Story proceeds episode-by-episode like what you expect from a TV serial.

* Demo size about 550MB.

I'll keep my eye open...

That looks to be everything that Outbreak should have been, plus it's being made by Valve if I'm correct, so you know they'll do it right.
