[QUOTE="FrozenLiquid"]I've always wondered why Japanese ghost/zombie stories come in a different flavour... Warning: If you're scared easily, don't watch this. But if you're a man, tell me what you think....Now I can totally see whyRazMaTaz-1

The problem is that the vast majority of the Japanese "ghost" clips came out after the Japanese horror movie craze. Kind of like how all the UFO sightings in the US came out after stuff like Roswell. It's cool for entertainment value, but both of those videos could be done by anyone with $10 worth of stuff.
The first video is actually kind of funny, as you can see the person run by in the mirror to get to the other side of the room.
The second video, particularly the poltergeist stuff, is downright silly. Again, fine for entertainment value, but a studio produced movie is far more convincing and "scary." Watch the clip from "the '70s" poltergeist thing, after the shirt flies away, there is a clear edit mark in the film before the "blood" starts coming out of the head of the picture of Jesus. The last one was cool, because it looks like they spent more than 2 secs making it, but still easily done.
Anyway, I'm overanalyzing this, as I'm sure most of them were done for entertainment purposes and trying to fool people. They are entertaining, but far from scary. Of course, most things require a story to be scary, and these are just random clips.
