Somewhat agree, seeing as how pissed I was when the psone controller became standard with analogs and rumble and I was stuck with the crap first design. Yet things like this happen all the time, psone controller, slim psone and ps2, 360 elite, etc.. Good things come to those who wait! ;)

And why 2-3 months? Why the wait to announce?

Because they are trying to sell off as many of the old sixasis as they can. AFter this new controller releases they'll have to mark down the old controller. This way they make as much money as possible (truely disgusting but hey it's what a business is going to do).

Anyone ever wonder why there are so many deals with current online deals giving free extra controller or this new bundle releasing that has 2 sixasis controllers? Because they are doing a firesale to make room for the new controller.

kinda pointless at this point...

the games need to have this incorporated in early in the develpment cycle (from what i understand) in order to use it.

the "bigg hitters" for the ps3 are already pretty far along in their development cycles...

will this feature make it in, in time? who knows....

teh milkage! So can we now add another $60-70 onto the price of a PS3 as cows do with XBL onto the 360? I love the way you get the damage control in at the start like none of those are valid points. Sony should be embarrassed the way they handled this.

lol, funny enough I think they did. There was a trade in program for those who wanted to upgrade to an Elite. Ask a Lem I'm sure he spent the money. Myself I was not about to spend more money on another broken machine.

Per Robbie Bach in OXM, the Elite was only made to satisfy the request for one by a very small percentage of customers..

it is not designed to replace the premium...

For me, it would be complete once they moved the analog sticks. Actually, if they were to redesign it to feel just like the 360 it would be complete. I plan on getting a PS3, but the controller is the only thing that lets a little air out of my happiness balloon.

Anyone find it sad that Early adopters are getting screwed more and more?

i want a PS3, but i want all this crap to end. If they wanted to add stuff, it should've been there from the start.. first removing the 20GB model, then $100 price drop on the 60GB Model, and then removing it for the 80GB model... and now 'screw the old controller, heres a new one with rumble!' All that should have been decided and finalized BEFORE the launch of the thing.

i agree...this place is perhaps the most backwards state i've ever seen....

i don't know why they even sell cars with turn signals here...NOONE uses them... (then they wonder why they continously smack into each other....)

Looks like I'll never experience a SIXAXIS controller without rumble, since I've yet to play a PS3 and won't buy one till early next year. Glad rumble is back.

It should of been the damn standard at launch. Its an improvement, but Sony is simply catchin up - to what others have.

no kidding, here is my PS3 costs so far in CDN$ (keep in mind I bought at launch):

PS3 60 gig w/1 controller = 700$ w/tax

3 extra sixaxis @59.99 = 200$ approx w/tax

Wireless Headset = 79.99$

Total = 979.99

Add in 4 replacement rumble controllers @59.99 (i'm guessing) = 1219.95

ADOPTING PS3 EARLY = PRICELESS
