I hate mods. They completely alter the way the game is supposed to be played. Its like altering a movie or book to fit your needs. Its not the way developers intended the game to be played.Miketheman83
You play a game however you want to play it :o

Bethesda relies on the modding community and says that they want mods on consoles. Mods are part of the Elder Scrolls experience :?
They're the one big advantage that PC has over consoles for Elder Scrolls games.
I hate mods. They completely alter the way the game is supposed to be played. Its like altering a movie or book to fit your needs. Its not the way developers intended the game to be played.Miketheman83Then you should play it the way the devs intended. PROBLEM SOLVED!!!! Also, people should be allowed to play it the way they want to.
Looks kinda cool, but it's a little hard to make out what some of that stuff is.
I mean, WTF is this? :?
Tikeio
I think it's a rock :P
Well, the mod isn't complete yet, but it looks amazing so far. I like the idea.
I hate mods. They completely alter the way the game is supposed to be played. Its like altering a movie or book to fit your needs. Its not the way developers intended the game to be played.Miketheman83You can't compare games to movies and books, it doesn't work like that.

Lol.
You probably wouldn't even need to spend much over $700 on a i5 2500k build, with a high-end graphics to run Skyrim on ultra in 1080p @ 60fps.

My friend has a dual core CPU with a 256mb graphics card and 8gb of ram. He runs Skyrim on medium settings with 2x AA on 30fps. If a computer like that can do that, then a $700-$1000 computer can run Skyrim maxed with a very high fps.

What's wrong with expanding your experience? Play the game how it's meant to be played, and then have some fun.
It's not like you can't just install/uninstall mods as you wish.
Well I do need to spend around £500 just to play it on a PC, so you're not far off with your hyperbolic statement. And that...really doesn't look visually appealing...too bright, ew.inb4consolites "lololol you need a 5000$ PC to run skyrim so you need to downgrade graphics to make it run properly"

I've seen some people saying they were getting 30 and less on a 580, seems like it scales poorly.[QUOTE="XVision84"][QUOTE="Tikeio"]

Maybe it's due to the performance lag or memory problems it's been having on different systems?
I know a few people who run Skyrim maxed at 60fps running on 460's. It's Bethesda though, this sort of stuff is unpredictable with them :P

What's funny is that Bethesda meant for Skyrim to be heavily modded. That's why they give so much support to mods through their Construction Kit.
Ew, >.>mrmusicman247
Mixed reactions, lol. I personally like the look of the trees, the wood, the rocks, and such. Sure I wouldn't play the entire game like that, but It'd be good fun trying it out.

I agree. Modding should be illegal. I'd go as far as to say that it's as morally problematic as piracy.

Bethesda even relies on the community to fix Skyrim's glitches, and a lot of the improvements from Oblivion to Skyrim was based off of Oblivion mods.

That is also a huge point. Play it how the developers intended it to be played... Oh, but look, they released the Construction Kit meant for modding. Whoa

That said, graphical mods affect little of the gameplay and actually enhances the way the game is supposed to be played.

Or mods that simply improve graphics? Or some mods that all they do is fix bugs? I dont understand how people can hate mods since they are free and optional

4. I'm completely right.
Why would to mod a game to make it look **** I mean it's not a question of artstyle, but you're literally turning off all the effects and replacing textures with ones that look like ****
