Skyrim Retro Graphics Mod Looks Amazing

Why would to mod a game to make it look **** I mean it's not a question of artstyle, but you're literally turning off all the effects and replacing textures with ones that look like ****

Because the Bible says that if you alter or change what's written in the Bible, you are comitting a grave sin. Apply that same principle to games and you'll see what's wrong with modding.

I'm fast growing tired of the indie low pixel/cell shaded look with cutesy NPC's and creatures, and this mod just looks like an eye sore.

Actually I think he has a good point , I agree with him and I have been gaming on PC for well over 10 years.

For the most part mods are something fun to f*ck around with but I prefer to play the games as the devs intended.

Yea it can be fun for a while to play CS with warcraft skills for example but nothing beats the original game,

Mods can very useful for MMOs like WoW wen you really need to preform on your top to down a hard raid boss but for a game like Skyrim? No thanks.The game is perfectly playable as it is (84 horus in here). Oh and btw the mod in this thread looks like utter sh*t.

That's bulls*** and you know it. The way the game is "supposed to be played" is however you feel like playing it. If that means downloading a bunch of mods that completely change the way the game looks and plays, then so be it. Video games aren't movies or books; they aren't a static form of entertainment. There are thousands of ways to experience games and just because someone experiences it differently than the way the developers initially made the game doesn't make them wrong. There is no such thing as the way a game is meant to be played.

I think that looks gross. I'm still amazed some people like retro 3d graphics, they don't look nearly as good as retro 2d stuff imo.
