I really really want a good Sly game. I've played all three originals and while the platforming segments with Sly are absolutely brilliant, the other half of those games were poorly designed and mediocre at best. I just want a game that focuses on Sly's high quality segments and not bother with the other underdeveloped characters and gameplay styIes.
Everything I've seen for this game so far has been a good step above what Sucker-Punch did last gen IMO. I hope the quality remains this high throughout the whole of Sly 4

See, I don't know what you mean by platforming segments, the O-button stuff? Because if that is what you mean then I kind of agree, the combat was bad, for Sly that is good because of stealth, but I never really liked playing as the other characters. Oh, and bosses could be a pain with combat like that.
About the gameplay in Sly 4, is it me or does it seem slow? It feels like the animations are drawn out to a point were it slows down the movements of the raccoon. Also, in an attempt to detail Sly he looks a little awkward.
I don't think it's gotten slower, it's the result of adding more animations into his movements. More animation means a few teeny bit more seconds needed for movement. I hope that helped explained it a little bit :)
