Smash 3DS Demo Sept 19, Nintendo Platinum Gets It Today

The Super Smash Bros. 3DS demo will be made available to everyone next week, September 19, Nintendo announced on their Treehouse stream just now.

But... that's not all!

If you are a Club Nintendo Platinum member, Nintendo will start sending out demo codes a week early, and you may get yours as early as today. So that Platinum status came down to some use after all.

To be specific, to qualify for the early demo access, you need to have achieved Platinum in the period from July 1, 2013 to June 30, 2014, and you must have registered at least one Nintendo 3DS product (game or system) in this period. If you did this, you qualify, and you WILL get the demo. Nintendo just appears to be staggering the emails, is all.

Selected Platinum members will get 4 codes for friends

Looks like its last years 2013-2014 Platinum status will enter you into the drawing. IF you have a 3DS system registered! Im just waiting for my email now lol.

i just got my 4 codes, i was kinda worried because the status resets in july and i thought i wouldn't be getting them :)

Im still waiting on my Email, i get emails from Nintendo all the time and ive got two 3DSs registered. I was platinum 3 years in a row so i better get it :(

Yeah, if you hit Platinum status for the Club Nintendo Year 2013-2014 (not the current 2014-2015 year) you'll get it. Think we could clarify that a little in the OP.
