kameo was ok but was helped scores wise by being one of the first games of this gen and being a launch titlethe_h_bomb

That being said...I still think viva pinata is the best game Rare has made since they left nintendo.

Its just fluid and looks nice. Although thats not at all a bad thing, its nothing special.

Looks really fun though. I loved Sunshine and 64.

Graphics and visual pleasure are 2 completely unrelated things. I should be able tp say that Super Mario Galaxy looks amazing and not have it interpereted and someone saying that the Wii = 360 quality in graphics... because its not even close. Like I said... Super Mario Galaxy "looks" better than Kameo in my opinion. Kameo can not be produced on the Wii... I know. :)

Agreed 100%. Viva Pinata is the kind of title wii owners should be jealous of. Luckily i'm getting it for the PC

Wow, even I'm impressed!

I did expected Wii games to look better than they were but by that much?

I don't remember the last time I was impressed by the visuals of a game so much... Maybe Half Life 2 (with full AA/AF, that game was crispy for it's time (heck, still is...)), and PGR 3/4

(For the record, I am biased against games that use only 16 colors as opposed to the full spectrum of 16.1 million colors that our pricey monitors and TV's can dispay... Example, Halo 3 vs Gears of Brown and Unreal Brownument 3 (fun game btw))

Im glad your having fun doing something. I know you all notice that there are more Lems/Cows right here in Gamespot. Why is that cause right now sheep are actually playing there games. Burn? You ask me. Anywho the ridiculous bashing that i have come across on this thread has made me see something oh so clearly. How envious you all are of Wii getting probally the most solid game of this generation (so far). The bashing of the graphics needs to stop. Honestly if it doesnt stop me and 12 million other people wont care come Nov 15th. You see, you will all be where you are right now. In front of your PC on SW, with nothing better to do while waiting for ME or something. You will continue to bash this game like the little fanboys you are but those with any adequate IQ will notice something. ALL YOUR WORDS WILL FALL ON DEAF EARS. If Gamespot did that, they'd have absolutely no credibility at all. They explicitly state that a game in the 8.0-10.0 range is good, regardless of platform...

And I'm going to ignore the Halo 3 line since it could have online play, and can have land and air vehicles in large levels, both done in Batallion Wars II...

And as much as I liked the Halo 3 campaign it still was mediocre (at lesat ending's better than 2, but still lame), we all know it's all about the true multiplayer modes... (despite the strange jump physics, or lack of...)

nice post. I honestly don't care what this game scores on Gamespot because I am buying it and I know it is going to be phenomenal. Gamespot's Wii reviews are incredibly inconsistent and i'm personally getting tired of them (even the ridiculously over scored games like Mercury Meltdown and WarioWare).

The real point is Wii has different standard in scoring reviews. Wii is about the wiimote. I could say Z&W would score low on 360 cuz the game would be crappy with normal controllers but what's the point if the systems have different standards?

hm... good point. I suppose it is the easiest game to compare it to. I also know that several people worship the graphical feats of Kameo and I thought it refreshing that Super Mario Galaxy looks better (IMO). I think Kameo has a fantastic style to it, so its actually a big compliment to Galaxy for beating it out in my mind.

You may think what you want. I'm sorry for bringing Kameo in to this. I should have stuck to the "wow... gotta go change some pants" post.

Umm, that is still HD. Just because tv's can't display any higher than 1080p at this date doesn't mean higher resolutions is beyond HD.

a AAA game is a AAA game. Doesn't matter if it's on DS, PSP, Xbox, Xbox 360, PS2, PS3, Wii, NGage

I play them all. (well, I can't find anyone with an Ngage, not that there were any AAA games on it... (actually, I think there was 1...))
