Currently SMG is .1 % behind LoZ:OT for tying all time. Just .2% more and it takes #1...has a game finally overthrown LoZ:OT?comstrikeiscoolActually, I think it can be tied in score if it has more reviews, which it will, so it only needs .1% more.
Would the question read better as "Will it overthrow OOT?"
"Has" is a question of whether or not the overthrow already occurred. In this case, it hasn't, so you have to vote "no."
I'd put money on it never hitting 93%Anyone is crazy to think that SMG won't go down to 93/94% in a couple weeks.

Out_Kast3000
Why is that? The score has been goign up instead of down with more reviews and thats not something that happens lots.

Impossible without some amount of timeline introduced. Anyway, he's level 5, he'll probably make another new account before the bet was even done.Anyone is crazy to think that SMG won't go down to 93/94% in a couple weeks.

It has 97,4% after 22 reviews. No game except for Oot had such a great score after that number of reviews.. SMG hitting below 95% seems next too impossible especially since GS didn't do a TP too remind everyone of how much extra money they can generate on the extra visits if they give the game a bad score.
I think there is a big chance SMG will be #1. It keeps on going up...
It'd be great if OoT was sent to #2. It's been in the #1 spot for too long. >_>
If you guys actually looked at trends with gamrankings, you'd know that it will go down, especially when it gets a couple 8.5s and 8.0s(which it will get from some reviewer soon, only a matter of time). Hype goes down, and so do the review scores.
I remember a year ago when Twilight Princess was at 98% for a few weeks and people really thought it would overtake OoT. It only took a couple 8.9s and 8.0s to bring that average down to 94/95%.
Yes, but, this hasn't had a single under 9 review, and the harsh sites have reviewed it.If you guys actually looked at trends with gamrankings, you'd know that it will go down, especially when it gets a couple 8.5s and 8.0s(which it will get from some reviewer soon, only a matter of time). I cant see any kind of reputable review site giving it less than a 9 at all. Of coruse im sure some fanboy will make one just for this purpose lol.

I really wouldnt say ownage at all, it will be intersting though. Out of curisoity what kind of statistical methods do they use? Like do they elimiate outliers?
I doubt it's going to beat out OoT. SMG has its faults, while OoT was perfect in every way.EponiqueOoT was not perfect in any way. Except timing.

You think these are the "harsh" sites? Many of the sites that have reviewed the game already are the big sites who are victims of hype and are almost obligated to give it a high scrore. There are GOING to be sites(coming soon) who will not review it highly just because they think it's "overrated", "kiddy", "bad graphically", etc.
It doesn't even have to be under 9 to bring down the average. A 9/10 will bring down the average.

Well it's already ownage for this gen at least.
It doesn't even have to be under 9 to bring down the average. A 9/10 will bring down the average. Out_Kast3000Whatever. We'll see. Eurogamer is harsh, Gamespot is harsh. and they're both unpredictable and often disagree. 9.5 and 10.

Perfect is the wrong word when describingany game. OoT was the best game for it's time and is the best game now imo. We saw how the replica, Twilight Princess, did in trying to best OoT; failing miserably. I doubt SMG will either.

Well, it wasn't perfect, nothing that is made by humans is. But it is the best game ever made, I've played through it 20 times or so and I still enjoy it.
Nothing will ever top OoT in my mind. It was just perfect.stefanlekAgreed. I still cannot fathom why some sites gave it under a 10.
