[QUOTE="Hexagon_777"][QUOTE="Dahaka-UK"][QUOTE="Hexagon_777"]No one can really claim victory until the end of this generation of consoles. It's as simple as that. However, what we can say is who is owning who right now, and the Wii is owning the 360 so bad that I actually feel kinda sorry for 360 owners...Not really.
Going by games, however, the 360 is owning the PS3 and Wii right now. Going by sales, the Wii is clearly owning the 360 and the PS3. More sales = More games. Major developers are already shifting support to the Wii. Many just totally underestimated the Wii, as many did the the DS.
The 360 only really appeals to hardcore gamers, and let's face it, that's not where the money lies. It has many brilliant games coming out and already out, but it's sales are crap. Microsoft is heavily investing into the 360, hoping that they can keep it alive, but unless they make some fundamental changes, it will die.

More sales= more games? Sure if they are good games but I highly doubt they will be good games.. Miyamoto said himself, he wants short, dumbed down, kiddy mini games for all the family to play..
Oh and 360 a hardcore system only?.. don't make me laugh.. Gears of war is a casual game, oblivion is a casual game.. basically every game on the 360 is casual... Wii is more of a VERY VERY casual console.
If the 360 is as casual as you say, then why are its sales stagnating, despite all these casual games coming out? Nope, honestly, those are all hardcore games.
More sales = More games = Higher chance of an amazing game being made for the Wii.
Well if you take into account the price of the XBOX360.. $400+4games($200)= $600 :| times how many times it breaks down(red rings of doom) it's pretty obvious why the 360 aint selling so well.. Same with the PS3 except it doesn't break down but it lacks games and is way more expensive.. but both consoles will eventually have the better games than the wii if they can sort out them problems..
Wii on the other hand has a crap load of bad games, the worst hardware, is cheap as chips and doesn't break down. The only reason wii is selling so well is because it's cheap. There you go, theres no other reason.. Not because it's for casuals.. you can get a casual experience from the XBOX 360 or the PS3... Gears of war imo is easy as hell, it even has a diffirculty called casual :| and oblivion was dumbed down purposely for casuals..
I guess you could say Wii is the best console because it's cheap and has a few good games but will have more in the future.. but thats not the case good games arent coming out for the wii.. only rehashes..(more marios, more zeldas, more kiddy)
Your argument seems pretty plausible, apart from you mentioning the word "kiddy".
I personally think that the Wii is selling well because of a combination of factors. It's cheap, reliable and has casual appeal due to its games and the method of control. The fact that the 360 and the PS3 are so expensive already dismisses the argument of being able to have a casual experience on them.
The whole "heaps of buttons vs. motion sensing" argument concerning casuals also makes sense to me.
