So console gamers are you ready for PC gaming supremacy.

BIg companies are afraid to make new consoles in a ression. Pc gaming is starting to get better with it's new tech, better graphics,better game play and better value. Console gaming will start to look really bad and old as pc games get better each even in a ression.

Even the low auility and none big IP's are starting to look better than currnet gen console. India and china are not supporting console or the console are not selling. The world is playing pc games and not console. It looks like consoles have a dark future ahead.

If the world is playing pc games what are console game devs going to do. I mean there is alot of games on pc that is better looking and have better game play than consoles.

And yeah, I'm well aware that some games support gamepads perfectly, and others have pretty good auto-detection, and others are smart enough to use the desktop resolution and sound config you've already specified, and plenty of them work fine without messing with Live. But I don't want "some here" and "some there" - I just want it to work, out of the box, every goddamn game, every goddamn time. That's not too much to ask, because both of my consoles already give me exactly that.

Do they come by to maintain it, too? Update drivers? Set up the 3rd party gamepad hacks you're so fond of? New PC Game is out (The new Total War game for example) new board, vid card, ram, CPU probably an OS reinstall because it will crap itself, and update all the drivers. Then figure out why it's choppy, adjust the sound settings, open the right ports in the firewall because multiplayer games aren't working properly, spend a day tweaking the AA/Visual settings. When it's all working, download the 1.4GB patch, then download the 1.6gb patch because the last one was for the UK English, not NA English boxed version. Can't get into any online games until everyone else has repatched. Game starts crashing, have to wait 2 weeks for the 200MB patch that fixes it, but I can't use my old savegames.

New 360 game is out, I buy it, I put it in the drive, I play it. I even have enough time left over to get some action that evening.

BTW I can see into the future.

Ultimately it will be that devs that decide wichway gaming goes. PCs are more work to make games for and piracy is realy hurting profits so it's more likely that gaming will head to the consoles. If Piracy becomes rampant on them *cough dreamcast cough* then there might be a shift back to PC gaming (assuming by then the problem has been curbed with better security).Tasman_basic
