(with HD7770) Only by dropping to 720p were we able to reach a fairly steady 30fps...In general, performance here is significantly slower than that of the Xbox One version
How so? I don't remember the XB1 version having a fairly steady 30fps when it was a 20-30fps experience with 17fps lows. Remember what you said about XB1 version:
Combat with seemingly hundreds of zombies is routine during chapter two, often giving giving us performance at the lower end of the 20-30fps range...drops to 20fps are consistent andsustained when outdoors
You mean the 1080p HD7770 version is slower than the 720p XB1 GPU? Heard about consistency?
perhaps not surprising bearing in mind that the HD 7770 (aka the Radeon R7 250X) doesn't stack up favourably against the Xbox One's GPU
So that was the main point of this article, right? XB1 damage control, again?
In fact the HD7770 at 720p, at the same 720p XB1 resolution, is performing much better at "a fairly steady 30fps" than the ~20fps XB1 version with 17fps dips.
And this conclusion, that XB1 > HD7770, is 100% total bullshit (by your own performance videos) and 100% XB1 damage control, again."
he forgot to mention that Digital Foundry tested the 7770 with "highest settings" not the origianal "high" preset that they say is X1 equivalent
so a cheap 7770 full clocked at 1000mhz + GDDR5 > Xbox One
and we are talking about a X1 "exclusive" a showcase game, X1 is weaker than i thought, and im a console pessimist
