Either way you slice it, the 360 was more dominant than the PS3 in the 2 biggest markets in the world. Nothing you post can change that fact. Further more MS proved it didn't need Japan to be succesful while the PS3 did.

Cows should be glad the 360 didn't sell in Japan or the PS3 would have finished well into 3rd place. As it was the 360 finished 2nd or tied at worst and they did it without Japan.

But, that's not the case. If you take Japan out of the equation, where the 360 basically has no presence, the 360 is ahead by several million units. I am not saying the PS3 s not outselling the 360 in EU, but the sales differences are certainly not "dominating".

I know it's just Amazon, but...

The XB1 has steadily climbed on the "all 2013" best sellers list, and is now ranked #6 (PS4 ranked #3). And, no PS4 SKU is on the top 20 "current" best sellers list (XB1 currently 7th).

So, at least on Amazon, the XB1 is now beating the PS4 in pre-order sales (I guess that's daily?). Is this because all the Sony die-hards pre-ordered on "day 1", or is the XB1 catching the PS4?

Amazon split up the PS4 preorders into 6 different bundles, while XBox still has only the day one bundles. So basically, after 3 weeks XBox has yet to outsell the PS4 preorders that sold out in 10 hours the day after E3.

 I wouldn't doubt that the Xbox One is getting more pre orders now. The gap is going to stay pretty large because of the amount of systems available for each respective systems.

 No one knows the exact numbers, the only thing we really know is that Gamestop has what's being called an unlimited run of PS4's and that the gap in stores is pretty large. We know that the PS4 is still leading in pre orders on Amazon, bestbuy and gamestop.com. 

As for the European PS3 vs Xbox 360 sales. It's known that the Xbox 360 has a pretty large lead in NA sales by probably around 10+ million systems. Sony destroys everywhere else though.  

PS3 sales

NA sales = 30+ Million

European sales = 30+ Million

Japan sales = 9 million

It's got nearly the same market in the Europe as it does in NA. Also Germany has taken over as the sales leader in europe for games and console systems.
