BF3 is a superior game interms of graphics (the game engine-destruction), soundquality.

and then putting all the technical characteristics aside, its the consumer's "opinion" that basically speaks when they say one game is better than the other.

On top of that, COD and BF are completely different in terms of gameplay. One is an actual military shooter and the other is just a fast-paced arcade shooter where you just run and gun.

so basically, all im saying is that the only actual way COD beats BF is interms of one's own opinion. Discuss.

True. BF3 beats COD in graphics and visuals.

Anything else I guess is personal.

And to not call COD a military shooter is laughable.:lol:

can someone explain to me why these games can't co-exist together? why can't someone enjoy both or one or the other and ignore the other one?

CoD gamers don't give a **** about BF3. It's the BF3 fanboys that are the problems, spamming every COD video on YouTube with crappy comments, talking **** about the game on forums etc. COD gamers just want to buy MW3 and play the game.

The same reason you can't enjoy both STALKER and COD. One is so hardcore and great and the other is so terrible and childish. They are on opposite sides of the spectrum. (Note: Sarcasm)

That's exactly what it seems like. Case in point.. the original post.

yeah i enjoy both, but it gets annoying when people say COD is better for X reason and don't realise its their opinion.

And yes COD is a military shooter, but comparatively (with battlefield) it seems like its very arcady.

They will hopefully, as long as BF eats into CoD considerable market share but doesn't kill it off altogether (would never happen anyway) Dunno if you read the article but this bloke from Activision makes some excellent points, which is surprising to say the least. Link.

This isn't fanboy wars, we aren't here to call out groups of fans. If they like a game, they like a game. Simple as that.
