Plus Ubi plans to milk the franchise with yearly releases like AC.

Prove it? They don't milk Prince Of Persia or Far Cry like that.

It will not touch GTA V in terms of sales and critical reception. But it might dwarf it in how ahead of its time it might be. I'm not certain about anything, but if it sets out to be what the footage shows and what the devs are describing, i'm looking at the next Deus Ex of our generation.

Actually, this what the sequel to the original Deus Ex should of been - hacking, stealth and multiple approaches to a solution, all taken to the next level in a open world environment.

The more they show the worse it looks, when it was first revealed it was like the future of gaming, now it looks like assassins creed without the good parts of assassins creed.APiranhaAteMyVa

The last video i've seen still looks impressive as hell, and there's a lot of unique design thrown there.

GTA V was a fantastic game, but I don't see why Watch Dogs can't surpass it.

The protagonist looks to be a much more serious and likable character than the satirical three from GTA V. The use of hacking and high tech gadgets could potentially be much more appealing than the standard run-n-gun nature of GTA V as well.

It'll all come down to gameplay and overworld to be the determining factors, I would suppose.

Perhaps the single player will stand up to GTA V but Watch Dogs won't stand up to GTA Online

Yea so far GTA Online is nothing but Robbing, Killing and Theft. Yea that's something to stand up to. Watch Dogs will be better online

Watchdogs is a boring, lifeless, mechanical game, while GTA V is an exciting, living, organic adventure.

I thought GTA was boring and lifeles with terrible mechanics.

I think you put a Mass Effect game in your PS3 instead of GTA V
