So does the new PS3 bundle really justify no PS3 price cut?

someone said on the PS3 forums that now they don't need to price cut because of this deal...but do some of you believe that to be true?

i mean MGS4 is like $26 at gamestop and killzone 2 can be gotten for like $40 on ebay...that's only saving someone $66, not $100

so if your planning on getting both of those games, then your not saving yourself any money, just time

also, not everyone who wants a PS3 wants these two games, so how would this appeal to those people?

and finally, this is only available at best buy, and right now seems to be only online as it says no instore pickup available...so that's extra for shipping

does anyone really feel as if this bundle is better than a price cut? i don't

yea i know...imma get one here soon though so i'll have all three

i could probably get MGS4, KZ2, and LBP for $100...that's one more game than what this bundle offers...but that's if there were a price cut

looks like i'll just have to go with this bundle or get a ps3 pf ebay for $300

This is justa Best Buy deal thought isn't it? So I don't think Sony is bundling the games in the box. I think it's just a special from Best Buy to sell some PS3s for once.

If I was in the market for a PS3 ..... yes , I would be all over that bundle. I'd take that over a $50 pricecut now or take it over a $50 cut later in the year. The time is now. Keep in mind that you can trade the games in , sell them , or trade them with your friends. (even if you have bad taste) :P

It would be nice if they just let you choose the games you wanted. Then it would be like a price cut, since you're going to buy games anyways.

This is a great bundle for people who are interested in those two niche titles. I fear however those people already have a PS3.

The OP's argument is flawed by degrading the value of the best buy ps3 bundle with a strawhat argument. The bundle is a great deal. As for it being better than a price cut, that is an ambigious area of discussion. How big of a price drop? 50$? $100?. But I do know that a price drop would be welcomed by all consumers.

No it doesnt.. This is a nice bundle, If I didnt already had a ps3 (which by the way came bundled with the super crappy pro evolution soccer 08) I would get it for sure 'cause I like those games. But like someone else said above it would be better if u could choose the games u wanted, and it would be WAY better if the price was a 100 bucks down or so..

I don't get this back and forth about MGS4. The entire MGS series has been basically the same game with a new story every single iteration. If you haven't learned by now that every subsequent game is going to basically be the same game and you didn't like the previous ones... how can you even think you'll like the new ones?

Its a love/hate title. Some people, like myself, love the series and its styIe of presentation... while others despise it. However, like with any game, just because you don't like it, doesn't mean it is "bad."

I beat Metal Gear Solid 4 on the 14th of this month, and it looks like Super Mario Galaxy has some competition at being one of the best games this gen.mitu123
