If Sony had launched a full-featured console for $399, I would have no gripes with them. As it stands, they are the running joke of gaming. Pull it, and go bacl to the drawing board. This time, though, make a damn videogame console. Not a machine to try and introduce a new disc format.
No one asked for this generation to cost 100% more than the last, and not many are taking it.
At this point, I could care less what Sony does this gen. I don't care if it dies, I'd just like to see the last of it's 3rd party titles go multiplat so I don't have to waste money on another system to buy them.
Sony's initial Idea for the PS3 was to make a multimedia centre... but what they made was a Blu-Ray player that plays games and Im not joking :| why else would they invest so much money into a "cell" processor that improve's upscaling and media functions.

I didnt say only PS2 games. I want to play PS1, PS2, and PS3 games on it. I have about 120 PS2 games, so yeah after all Sonys bs about having full backwards compatability, I expect it. And dont say 60 gig cause I live in Europe.

I live in Europe too and have the 60 gig model. I bought my PS3 primarily to play PS3 games. So far I've only ever played 1 PS2 game on it. If the B/C (or lack of) bothers you, then... blah.:P

Deal. Seriously. And I said rumble included in the 400. Not another 40 or so euros for a rumble pad.
honestly i dont understand why people are complaining about pricedrops i mean yeah shows desperation on sonys side but for consumers its a good thing still they dont have he games out for the ps3 yet that warrants laying down 400 bones but still it beats laying down 500 or 600
