Sony.
Refused to guruantee I would get a 60 gig ps2 bc unit back even though I was paying out to have it fixed, Luckily me and a friend got together and replaced the hdmi port that had failed in my current one.
Hard to say I've only experienced customer service from Sony:
I've gotten 3 different ones, it was within the warranty time though so I didn't have to pay for it. Therefore I can't put my vote on Sony.
MS, by default, as I haven't had to contact any others :P

um...and? you can just say well they are the only one I contacted therefor they suck...if they were amazing customer service it wouldn't matter if they were the only one you contacted.Microsoft are the only people I've had to contact.

I'm shocked at the poll results. Are you guys freaking serious!? Microsoft should be winning in the poll for BEST customer service. To say MS has the worst is just plain wrong. That's not opinion. That's fact. When I got my RROD Microsoft had the decency to send me a new 360 for free, and it wasn't even in warranty. You know what Sony said when my PS3 got YLOD? Tough luck, it's your fault not ours, so were're going to charge you quite a lot if you want it repaired. Sony has better customer service than Microsoft my ass.

Typical lemming answer. Microsoft is way worst than Sony.Sony.

For something as common as YLOD, it's ridiculous Sony didn't take the same stance for the PS3's massive hardware issue. You make no sense. Sony will repair ALL issues under warranty. And for the first 2.5 years of Xbox 360 debut, MS warranty on RROD was only one year and a lot of people had to buy another one because the warranty expired. If your PS3 wasn't repaired because it was out of warranty that's not Sony's responsibility. At least you can pay them $127 for a refurbished one with a warranty. That's like buying a used car without warranty and having to pay for a repair yourself. Either way, your logic is flawed. But if you think MS is great, fine by me. You haven't had to return 5 Xbox 360's, including two Elites, wait on hold for 20-40 min. each time, and deal with outsourced customer service who read a script and make it very hard not to say "everything can go to hell".[QUOTE="harshv82"][QUOTE="burgeg"]I'm not sure if you're serious. Microsoft was nice to me both times I called them. They even sent me a free headset when they were unable to fix a problem and were very kind on helping me with my account
Sony while nice made me reset my whole account for nothing...

Considering it's a very common fault with the hardware, you're damn right it's Sony's responsibility whether it's within warranty or not. Microsoft realised this, and after a while owned up to the fact it was a common fault with the hardware and did the right thing by repairing it for free every time. Why can't Sony do the same thing for YLOD? If it's not Sony's responsibility, then guess what? RROD was never Microsofts responsibility. If that's the case, you should be praising MS for such outstanding customer service. I'm not saying MS did that out of the goodness of their hearts or anything. They did it because of all the negative press surrounding RROD. For some reason YLOD doesn't get as much attention, even though it IS just as big of an issue. At the end of the day, the biggest issue with 360 is sorted out quickly and free of charge. Sony gives you the middle finger when it comes to the biggest PS3 issue.[QUOTE="harshv82"] Because it was YOUR xbox not OURS. I've had horrid time with MS customer support. DevilMightCry
I don't know what issues you've had with the 360 that made you have to wait on hold 20-40 minutes each time, but it sure as hell couldn't have been the RROD. Fun fact. With RROD, you don't even have to pick up the phone to arrange your repair. You can arrange it all quickly and easily online. By the way with regards to you having to return 5 360s, that has nothing to do with customer service. That has to do with crappy hardware. Personally I've only had to return one 360 though.
They have both been good to me, I'll give Microsoft the better service though because they let me do everything online, so I don't have to try and understand their employees from India.

No, you're right. I don't make any sense. Except to majority of people who have been with Xbox 360 since day one.Those...bastards? Perhaps they should have lied... Anyways, I have been lucky enough that I haven't had to deal with any of the customer services....so can't comment!Sony.

The only one I've dealt with is Nintendo for the DS Lite crack. They ended up saying it wasn't cracked (one could clearly see the hairline crack on the hinge) and sent it back to me. A day or two after getting it back, the entire hinge broke off :(.
All of them suck. I really don't feel like talking to Indians who speak broken English over the phone.

Well that's, a nice and considerate answer......
For the question I have top go with Sony. When my Xbox 360 broke, Customer Service got me a new one for free, and when I couldn't log into live They helped me by telling me calmly that a couple of people couldn't
When I called Sony CS It was asking them about why I couldn't login to PSN (This was when it was hacked) and I think the dude was so tired of hearing that question he was on the verge of telling me to ""Go **** myself" although I guess I shouldn't ask a question that's been asked a bunch of times already.
I am going to have to go with Dell. My god there customer service is the worst.
pppjjj
oi, been there, done that. like battleing a fire-breathing dragon with a book of matches.
Microsoft is the only one I had to contact, but they did what I needed them too very quickly so I can't say anything against that.
Here in Switzerland it's without a discussion Nintendo, I had some very, very bad experiences with Nintendo this gen alone :S
can't pick any because i haven't contacted any. BUt i can see why people are choosing Ms.
I remember there was this thread a little while back made when microsoft offered a 1$ live, but you were unable to cancel it online, you had to call. calling = unneccesary waiting for somethin that could have been done with ease with a click of a button online. anyways, things like this are sure to get people angry.
Microsoft, based on how many times i've had to contact them.
though to be fair, the first time they told me it was normal for my 360 to sound like a jet engine. :P
