Drive Club? You must have made santa's naughty list this year.
Yeah seriously. I love my playstation, but get forza 6 for christ sake.
Yeah...get a game even Xbox fans don't want to waste their money on.

GTFO clown. This IS the reality of Flopza, not some bullshit cherrypicked screens...
Looks like a PS2 game next to Driveclub.
That is some epic humiliation for Forza by DriveClub.
So is it the PS4 is really, really more powerful than the Xbone? Or does Turn 10 really, really suck compared to Evolution. Or both?
Oh driving games. Borrrring!
Pretty much. Who cares how they look. Not fun to play.
The thread creator is obviously butthurt enough to be dumb enough to try to create this thread about DriveClub's graphics that completely backfired.
So, yeah, he does. And it really, really bothers him.

It's being rendered at twice the framerate, of course it's not going to be a graphical showpiece like Driveclub albeit it still looks good, I swear you guys don't know what a rational thought is...
Turn 10 put the importance of performance and twice the rendering output over that of graphics, Evolution did literally the opposite... This is very much a 2+2 = 4 situation and you guys are coming up with some other number and attacking the equation...
If Driveclub were rendering at 60 FPS it would look nothing like it currently does, this isn't hard to figure out.
P.S. That video you posted has 30 FPS captured footage from Forza 6 and the video itself is rendered at 60 FPS for whatever reason, literally no point, you lose half of the appeal in this video of what the framerate offers in Forza... Whoever made this video is an idiot, not to mention the capture quality from both games looks god awful and the video has an extremely low bitrate...

@m3dude1 Drive club has really amazing weather effects. That's about it. That game is complete shit.

Yeah, how badly Forza continues to bomb in sales is embarrassing.
I don't play sales, I play games. 0/10 sir.
Ok, then let's post some random videos of Driveclub in sunny weather.
Here's from Driveclub gameplay:
Want a 360 view? Use the arrows on the top left corner to move the camera.
People were posting a lot of screenshots of Driveclub in the rain when they added dynamic weather to the game and when people were claiming that Forza did it better.
Fk it! Here's Driveclub in a storm: :)
Jesus, I wish I entered this thread earlier just to shit on the game's graphics.
For a 30 FPS racer, it doesn't do much to justify the limitation for sure. It's just a good looking game, not amazing outside of cherry picked moments.
And here we have the point in the fight where the crowd starts shouting "Stay down!" because the beating is so bad.
The fight is over. Your side got beat...badly. Time to go home.
Picking a fight with the best looking racing game out right now was dumb. Really, really dumb.

lmao theres very little difference outside of IQ between the ps4 and pc version of pcars. the pc version has the same shit assets, tracks, reflections, lighting, and wtfsobad god rays.
pc version as high as it goes.....LOLOL. legit looks like a game from 2005. the sky is a white background straight from mspaint

Still has infinitely better textures and assets then what Drive club has...
LMAO yep sure does

Thanks for proving my point.....
An absolutely perfect example of the fantboy goggles concept.
DriveClub has the significantly better weather and environment effects that everyone always talks about.
But even the basic lighting model for the cars is so primitive in Project Cars compared to DriveClub. Nowhere near as bad as the cheap cartoonish lighting model in Forza but significantly less advanced compared to DriveClub.

Agreed.
Thread's over. You lost. Move on.
I bought driveclub expecting to be blown away by the visuals. Its not that impressive really. Its nice, but not crazy. Does have very nice lighting and weather.

What's your PSN? lets play some drive club.
Racing games are intended to look great in motion. You're almost always seeing the environment in motion so stopping to nitpick screenshots doesn't really mean much. For instance, a rock on a straight away will probably not look that great if you stop to look at it because you will be driving past it at decent speed 99% of the time. DriveClub looks phenomenal when you're actually driving.

I know the feeling.
And now I completely understand why cows only post pictures of it when it's dark, raining or snowing.
The trackside asset quality is so piss poor that any time of day setting that's even the slightest bit bright reveals just how bad the texture and asset quality is.
Normal maps are low resolution, tree's and foliage are a copy and paste job, shadow LOD is poor, texture filtering is poor, textures have no 'depth' at all...... and the image quality is piss poor!!!.
Cows explain why this game is constantly touted as being graphically impressive?
Re-reading the original lame attempt at trashing DriveClub's graphics is comedy gold.
Keeping that xenoblade sealed?
@vicodin you going to give me your psn so we can play some drive club? You know the game you don't own.

If what you say is correct then you have something defective. Either an issue with the game or the system. Or maybe with a setting on your TV. This is the best looking racing game on any system right now (I have them all..Yes I am lucky) so post some pictures, and we might be able to help you with what ever setting is wrong, or see if you have an system issue.
Keeping a bunch of stuff sealed that is absolutely worthless, has excess stock and will get multiple, on top of multiple reprints making the possibility of it generating increased value over time something that will never happen, is pretty funny...
What is the logic here.... Why would you not open this stuff... These aren't some rare revered games that only got a single print and then vanished from the market...

Xenoblade and Mario makerwill go up in time.

Neither are rare games, they're all over the place, you can readily get the special edition of it new anywhere and Mario Maker was mass produced with no doubt multiple reprints and likely more to come.
Supply and demand are critical and there is a lot of supply with little demand.
They will hold their normal deduct $20 from the new price to establish the used value because Nintendo...

Can't really get it anywhere(You can get it online, but it won't last), and it is a limited print. Every Mario game goes up over time.
Lets agree on something ridiculous though.

I can buy it at GameStop, that's more than needs to be said about it, also I don't know of any Mario games that the used value exceeds its new retail value, not one. Mario games hold a great used value but you're not going to make any money off of them.
People can ask whatever they want for something, it's never going to sell.

mario 1-3, super mario world, mario 64, super mario sunshine, just a few off the top of my head go for way more then they did retail sealed or CIB right now. I've also made a profit off of the ones I've sold, so that theory goes out the window.

Sealed of course, that goes without saying, complete no, the only one that exceeds its retail value is Super Mario RPG, that game was not a big release and had a limited run.
Super Mario Maker is a pretty mass produced title, very mass produced actually, I don't see it amounting to anything sealed or not, there is surplus everywhere.
@nyadc: Boxed super mario world definately is more expensive than the retail. 200-300 easily. Don't get me started on trying to find a 1st print sealed one. It's ridiculous. Mario sunshine has went up drastically over the last year (as with most gamecube games).

I don't think it ever looks phenomenal. It looks good but, with the exception of car models, the whole package is fairly plain and ordinary looking. Don't really get the hype for this game's visuals. Infamous (or even The Order) I understand. Not this game.

On the fact you have to ignore the game's weather and lighting effect on discussion?

Meh. Game's visuals don't impress me.
No, I have two copies. My regular Xenoblade Chron Wii U edition is opened. I'm just not opening my C.E.s of MGS5 and Xenoblade Chronicles X, which is why I bought vanilla copies of those games as well..
I did the same for Xenoblade on Wii, although there was no C.E. for that one in my region.

Why are you assuming I don't open my games...because of an older picture? lol.
It depends on the game. MGS5 I have two copies (one C.E. and one regular), same with Xenoblade Chronicles X (one C.E. and one regular).
I open the regular copies.
I did the same for Xenoblade Chronicles on the Wii last gen. One copy is opened, and one is sealed. It all depends on the game.
I don't do it for every game. I do keep the seals on them until open then to preserve them, but I opened a bunch of these games already.
I've been collecting for decades. I can't fit it all into one room, which is why I have three gaming rooms (classic, arcade, and modern), not counting my office and various other PCs for LAN.
