Services like OnLive, and the whole cloud based streaming of games, is the future of gaming and entertainment in general.

iPhone is a threat to companies like Nintendo, Sony and Microsoft, and mobile devices like the iPhone (smart phones) and iPad (tablets) are the future devices most people will be using for their portable gaming and entertainment.

Move will prove to be a superior motion controller to the Wiimote with M+ for motion controlled games (note that I didn't say it will be a better pointing device or all-round controller, for all types of games, just a superior motion controller).

Kinect will outsell Move (regardless of it being a bit of a gimmick and obviously not as good for those more core gaming experiences).

The future of 3D is not glasses based 3D but the kind of glasses free 3D we are seeing on the likes of the 3DS, and 3D won't take off properly on a truly mass market scale until we can view 3D without the stupid glasses.

"Graphics" means both art style and technical aspects (technical graphics/graphics technology). It has been used this way since the dawn of gaming as can be seen clearly in any reviews found in any of the earliest games magazines and right up to modern times on games sites like IGNhttp://uk.games.ign.com/ratings.html. If you specifically mean art stile then say it. If you specifically mean graphics technology or a games technical aspects then say so. Otherwise you are the one that's causing the problem.

If I can think of any other claims I have made or thoughts I've had that are relevant I'll add them to this wee list too.

Cloud base streaming could be the future but onlive is not the future. Onlive will follow the same path as webtv. Maybe in another country like Japan something like this will work well but we are years from something like this being the future. Iphone can actually become a dominant gaming platform. Its perfect for those who want to play something at work. Won't be a major contender to nintendo in the kid-tween world but for the gamers coming into the work environment, it will be great. Move/Kinect are just meh... plain and simple. 3D is also meh these days as well. I still don't understand why it all of a sudden become a popular for companies.

Onlive is too ahead of its time right now id say maybe in about 10 years when internet is faster and maybe when the USA gets a better internet infrastructure, say like broadband lines/fibr optic, untill then i don't cloud gaming will be that popular, and the whole iphone thing, yeah i don't think a 1 dollar app is going to threaten games like dead space 2 Halo:reach and what not, app and mobile games are games ont he go that you play for like 5 miutes at a time whereas games from Microsft, sony, Nintendo, and PC developers create games with actual stories and what not. Saying Iphone is a danger to those guys is like saying magazines are a danger to books.

Onlive will fail. Why? Because mainstream won't pay 15$ a month for a service alone, compare that to Netflix which is service + products. The core audiance won't like it either, just take a quick glimpse through the forums. That doesn't mean streaming doesn't have potential. My guess is one of the big 3 will allow you to start streaming games from your console and then others will follow. Your console/PC will be closer then any OnLive server 99% of the time, significantly less prone to crashes/failures and games would still be in the possesion of the consumer.

As soon as the iPhone gets buttons it'll start posing a threat. The only reason why its gaming component is doing so great is because they're cheap and deliver short bursts of fun, kinda like Java games on the internet.

Move might be better yes, but implementation is king. Let's wait and see. I also believe Kinect will outsell it.

3D without glasses, agree. Headtracking + glassless 3D should bring a level of immersion never seen before. I do however forsee problems with 3D, headaches for example.

Not enough people around the world have fast enough, or enough internet for onlive to work.

Agredd, when the world has speeds of about 15mb+ that everyone can get then Onlive would of been better.

A major change in gaming, like Onlive requires not only a high-level internet connection (which has already been stated), but also a significant amount of advertising.

Most of the other opinions have been covered in similar threads by the TC, so I won't bother.

I agree with you, but that won't change much in this forum. I don't get why people are so obsessed with graphics. Games are incredibly lacking in story-telling, character development, animations, physics and many more things. This article,http://www.cracked.com/article_18571_5-reasons-its-still-not-cool-to-admit-youre-gamer.html, describes alot problems.

Instead we're counting pixels to check wether a game is running at a higher resolution so we can claim ownage.

I think we'll have one more generation of disc-based games with more DD thrown in the mix, and then after that everything will be DD only, and by then 3D will be the standard.
